    Roof and living room reconstruction from tree damage.
    $55,000

    Koval Construction's owner operator, Mike, was an island of calm in a sea of destruction and insurance claims when a tornado dropped a tree onto my house.

    I would highly recommend Koval Construction and I would use them again!

    Mike worked with us and with our insurance adjuster to give us an outcome better than my wife and I expected.

    Here are just a few notes on Mike's outstanding service:
    1. Met with me after hours and assisted in filling out the insurance paper work. Mike even helped arrange a notary to co-sign.
    2. Mike was flexible and easy to work with in dealing with cash flows.
    3. Mike's quality is very high! For example without me complaining, Mike was not happy with how one of his subcontractors cut the door trim frame into the floor. Mike had all the frames replaced. A less conciesous general contractor would have let that slide.
    4. Mike advocated on our behalf with the insurance adjuster on low ball estimates from them. One example of this is when Mike had to pull up the manufacturer's specifications to show why his estimate of the number of shingles was accurate.
    5. Mike has something like 40 years of experience and I am left with an impression that there isn't much that he hasn't seen or knows when it comes to construction and restorations. He knows his trade better than anyone and knows his subcontractors and how to chose the best and how to work with them. For example Mike new exactly where to order our roof trusses and had them ordered well before other orders were made from the disaster. We experienced zero delays because of his planning. Our project was completed while other houses hit by the tornado had not even started yet.
    6. Mike is trustworthy and I felt safe leaving the house alone with him. I even had to travel while the $55,000 repair was going on and my spouse and I had no worries or concerns. Mike was fully engaged and oversaw all of his subcontractors when they were used.
    7. Over 75% of the work was performed by Mike and what he subcontracted out was fully supervised and stood behind by Mike.
    8. There was no details left outstanding. For example the lock on the slidder was not working correctly and Mike followed up weeks later to repair it at no cost with no real prompting.

    I can go on with many more examples. To sum it all up, I've never had better service and quality in my life on such a huge personal project.

    They have done work for us for 17 years. The last project was to replace our roof.

    We have used Koval Construction for the last 17 years. They always do excellent work from screening in our porch, to putting on our new roof , to redoing our kitchen cabinets and regular repair work around the house. Koval Construction goes beyond recommending other companies for work that they don't do like plumbing and electrical for a job but also calls those people and makes sure that they call us promptly to set up appointments and that they do the job properly. I highly recommend Koval Construction as they have always done a wonderful job for us no matter if the job was a small or a large job.

    Repaired my deck

    I found Koval Contruction, Inc. to be very professional, pricing competitive and completed the job within the time period quoted. Koval Construction also offered some suggestions to assist me with other tasks that were not a part of the original job. The suggestions were solid and accepted.
