I purchased a Kerry built house. If you want to dye in a fire buy one of his houses. When redecorating I found the bathroom vanity light fixture had no electric box. Just wires coming out of one of two holes, put in the wall by a hammer it looks like. Of course we put in an electric box before mounting the new vanity light. Then I was smelling burning in the hall. Could not figure it out, until a line of electrical plugs when out. I was not sure what was up, when I switched on breaker on another when off. This went back and fourth between the two. So, I went out purchased two breakers and three outlets. Figured this would take care of whatever the issue was. When I took the face plate off the first outlet, (the last in the line), I was shocked. The entire electrical box had been filled with foam spray. As I started digging out the foam to get the outlet free, it became apparent where the smell was coming from. Part of the foam had turned brown and in the back had melted into a hard black hard resin type blob in the back of the box. The cords had obviously been heating up and melting the foam. It is ok to put foam around the box, but not in the box. I started to realize why another house in the hood caught fire from the microwave wiring. Another Kelly house. Seriously, do not hire this man for anything or you may find yourself seriously regretting the hire.
