What a nightmare working with Dan... We hired this electrician based on a referral from a "friend" and we asked for a complete quote for an extensive yet simple job. The price was quoted and we agreed to have the work done. Phase one went over pretty well and we paid him about 85% of the bill and the remaining 15% to be paid upon completion. Once the other contractors completed their work on the project, the final electric work needed finished. He came out-did partial work, left. We tried to follow up via telephone and text to no avail. Finally, we decided to call from a different phone number and he immediately answered. He blew us off for awhile and then finally came back out to complete the work. The permit needed closed out and again he dodged our calls. Finally we were able to get him out to meet with the inspector and got that squared away. The kicker was that he did a ton of damage to the brand new walls, claiming "someone" cut a line, which was completely false. He made large holes that required close to $200 in repair. Once it was all said and done the guy starts harassing us for payment but never bringing the itemized bill OR any bill for us to pay. He shows up in the middle of a snow storm, unannounced and demanding $500 OVERBID. You have got to be kidding me? You are charging me an extra $500 and we had to pay a different contractor to fix the damage he did in our home. Further, we have to track you down mid job using other telephones to get a response, but he shows up at our house and demands payment! This guy is a NUT. DO NOT HIRE! Our quote was firm and the job was to bid to be permitted. He had every opportunity to bid this job appropriately, it appears he either failed to do so or he was just trying to screw us over.
