Ladd Service Company

I have been using Ladd Services Company for the past 7-8 years, until recently for heating and cooling, including maintenance and seasonal check-ups of my heat pump and electric furnace with replacement of the electric furnace in 2012.

Recently due to the age (16 years) of my existing water heater, although still running, I decided it better to consider replacing it while I was in position to take my time and look for the best option for me. I contacted several local contractors including Ladd as I had been very satisfied with their services for heating and cooling. The contact person in the Ladd office for plumbing was Anita with whom I spoke on the telephone and to whom I gave my email address to send me the information on what Ladd could offer. That worked out well, as email provided both of us a written memo to which we could later refer without having to make notes from a phone call that would also have given no verifiable record. Ladd’s price for a replacement electric heat pump water heater was one of the lowest I received. Over the next 10+ days, I was then in regular communication with Anita, who both quickly gave me any requested information or provided information on her own, as well as asking me appropriate questions concerning my intended installation in order to make sure that we had a good match and what might be required. I found her to be very knowledgeable of plumbing procedures.

In the middle of this, I then ran into a different plumbing problem with my drain in part of the house.The situation was a non-emergency and I could temporarily work around it. Anita and I again discussed this matter via email with several messages back and forth. The appointment for the repair service was set up with a two-hour window. On the day for the service call, I received a call from Dave and Quintin who told me that they were about a half hour away and would be there shortly. They arrived within a few minutes of their earliest expected time. Both men were very polite, asking me information about the problem and telling me what they expected to do. I found them knowledgeable of how to go about resolving the matter. They were very clean during the entire visit, which took a couple of hours, and upon departure left no mess behind them. I was thoroughly pleased with the service call.

The visit by Dave and Quintin for the drain also gave me an opportunity to have them check out the location for the proposed installation of the water heater and for us to discuss what might be needed. I found information provided by Dave along with that from Anita to be very helpful in making my decision concerning my choices, as I was initially uncertain concerning the best size for my needs and related items possibly required. This along with Ladd’s competitive price made my final decision to go with Ladd for installation of the new water heater an easy one. Dave and Quintin again did an outstanding job with the installation. As this was a heat pump type water heater, I didn’t know whether they would have any difficulties with it or not. But the installation went well and it has now been almost three weeks with the water heater working fine.

I highly recommend Ladd Services Company for both plumbing and heating & cooling services. Ladd guarantees its work and has provided me with a two-year warranty on their labor for the water heater (in addition to the warranty for the water heater itself). The bottom line is that Ladd does excellent work at a reasonable price with their work guaranteed. So far, though, I have had no need to call them back on a job.
