    HVAC system and duct changeout

    After my old and very loud rooftop package unit broke down, I contacted Johnson air to see what modern options were available to replace my system.
    After I explained what my goals were they designed and installed a top of the line heat pump inverter system with all new ductwork for me. The install team worked quickly and professionally. My new system runs wonderfully, its very efficient and so quiet!

    Installed 2 HVAC units when we built our house about 20 years ago.

    Had them come relocate one of the units a year later as it was put in the wrong location by the builder.

    Due to a very small coolant leak we had to have them out to service the unit they moved every 3 to 4 years, I was informed by Mike (the service tech who came out several times) that the expense to locate and repair the leak could be very expensive and because the leak was so small, that servicing the unit every few years would be a ok option, so that's what we did, every few years when it needed it we had them come service the unit.

    I never had any issues with Johnson Air and I was ok with having the unit serviced every 3 or 4 years, I would also buy all my filters from them and change them myself.

    It's been 4 years and now the unit is not cooling again, I gave them a call and was informed that I was not a current customer as I had not had them service my home since 2018 and that they would no longer be able to service the unit in the future, the units that they installed (be it 20 years ago) and were the only ones who ever serviced the units.

    I guess as long as you are buying a new system or will commit to having your HVAC system serviced by Johnson Air every year or two so you'll be considered a current customer and all will be good, otherwise they can't be bothered with the little stuff!

    I have just one thing to say to Johnson Air, units that are 20 years old may need to be replaced today or in the near future, guess who will not be getting that call!

    I have always tried to support the businesses who built my home but I guess after the warrantee expires there is no reason to do so these days.

    In closing I guess I can't recommend a company who gives there customers an expiration date.
