DO NOT HIRE!!!

Hired Jake to build a couple of decks. Said 3-4 weeks. At week 6, we are only 60% complete with one deck. His work schedule is whatever he wants and he will say "I'll be there tomorrow", then never show up. He will do this for days on end. Try contacting him on Facebook or imessage and he will leave me on read. Ignores my phone calls. Several days I changed my schedule so I can be there when he arrives and show him things I need him to do. Every day in the evening he will finally respond "I'll be there tomorrow". I waited around all day for this loser to never show. Several times. I spoke to another one of his clients who said he did the same thing to them.

He nerve brought a pencil and always needed to "borrow" one from me that he never returned. He borrowed some of my tools because he broke his own or forgot them. He bent prongs on my electric tools, wasted so much material with shoddy cuts, wasted so much of my time. I finally had to fire him because he was stringing me along. He threatened me if I dared to leave him a negative review. "I'll just say I don't know you", "if you say one word about me, you'll regret it....that's a promise". (I have pictures of this chat too if you'd like).

I have screenshots of our chats, pictures and video of his crappy work, he leaked oil from his truck all over my driveway (also have before and after pictures from my ring camera each time he arrives and leaves). He left so many nails and screws not fully engaged in the deck, handrails weren't even secured properly (if someone fell and tried to catch themselves, they would not hold up). Pieces of metal and wood everywhere in my backyard. So much to clean up.

I could go on longer but PLEASE before you hire him, email me and I can provide pictures and video if you'd like. He left my backyard in a mess and I screwed me over with my time and money. I do not recommend him and if I was able to give zero stars, I would.
