Lando Builders Reviews
4 out of 5 stars, based on 5 reviews

This is my first and only negative review I’ve ever written. I am posting this almost 1 year after the job was “done” to see how things held up. Spoiler alert: poorly. I hope this helps others make a better-informed decision than I did. I will try to keep this as brief as possible.

Suspiciously, Lando has only 5-star reviews on every online platform. However, most of the reviews are recycled and reposted every few months by the same people. Most reviews are left by their own employees, subcontractors, and members of a church that several men in the company seem to be members of @Kingdom Movement Church. I should have questioned how any business has over 100 perfect reviews before I decided to hire them, but unfortunately I was optimistic.

I have no doubt Lando Builders will dispute my review and delete it, but I have plenty of pictures, emails, texts, and voicemails to support my experience, should anyone be interested.

-April 2023: Hired Lando to do a partial basement renovation (addition of bathroom + bedroom, new flooring). The job was finished in September 2024. Signed contract to project completion was 1.5 years.
-No work began for 5 months with no explanation; all questions were ignored or deflected.
-Though we clearly stated that we wanted all work to be permitted from day 1; this information was not retained by any of the employees we spoke with, which added both delays and additional costs.
-They left a gigantic hole with exposed, rusty, sharp pipes in our basement floor for over 2 months, which is where the laundry is located. Apparently they had dug the whole in the wrong spot…twice.
-They left our back door propped wide open for several hours while no one was home.
-They let our cats out the back door 3 times, despite closing the kitchen door to keep the cats out of the area.
-The bathroom mirror, light fixture, and shower head we chose were not measured and did not fit, so last minute replacements were hastily chosen.
-Over a year into the project, the price we agreed upon was suddenly explained to be grossly underestimated by nearly $30K, which was asked of us immediately or the work would not be completed. The employee who originally assessed the project supposedly no longer worked for the company at this point.
    - We were trapped into either continuing to work with this inept company or trying to find someone new to finish the job and spending more money.
-We negotiated a renewed contract and paid them the remaining amount owed. There were many remaining issues with the quality of work, but the owners assured us “their guys” would fix any mistakes.
    - October 2024: The final details were never completed, such as an exhaust fan being put in the laundry room, extremely sloppy grout work and paint jobs, gauged ceilings, a hole in the bathroom wall, and crooked tiling.
-September 2025: We have not heard from the company since the walkthrough.

Lando Builders is the most infuriating group I have ever worked with—both in their poor quality of work and their utter disregard for customer service and common curtesy. They embody the very stereotype that give contractors a bad reputation. They excel at making excuses and their sales team is very skilled at lying directly to your face. I cannot overstate how choosing this company was one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made. I deeply regret finding them on Angi’s List and letting them into our home.

During this entire ordeal and currently, I am a full-time worker, full-time student, wife, mother to a 5-year-old, and hold an internship. I did not--and do not--have the spare time to deal with any of these fools.

I recently had the pleasure of working with a team of professionals to remodel my bathroom, and the transformation was nothing short of spectacular. The entire process, from the initial design phase to the final details, was a seamless and enjoyable experience.

    Initial Consultation and Design:
The journey began with a thoughtful consultation where my ideas and preferences were attentively considered. The design they proposed was a perfect blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal, turning my vision into a reality.

    Craftsmanship and Quality:
The craftsmanship and quality of work exhibited by the remodeling team were outstanding. Every aspect of the project, from tiling to fixtures, was executed with precision. The attention to detail was exceptional, ensuring a bathroom that not only looks stunning but is also built to last.

    Communication and Timeliness:
Throughout the project, communication was clear and effective. I was kept informed of the progress, and any questions or concerns were addressed promptly. The project was completed on time, which was a pleasant surprise, and the budget was respected.

    Professionalism:
The professionalism displayed by the entire team was noteworthy. They arrived on time, maintained a clean work area, and respected my home. It was evident that they take pride in their work and strive for excellence.

    Final Result:
The final result of the bathroom remodel was beyond my expectations. I now have a bathroom that’s not only functional but also a beautiful and tranquil space. It’s a true reflection of their commitment to quality and their ability to create spaces that are both practical and visually appealing.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend this team for any remodeling project. Their exceptional work, professionalism, and dedication to customer satisfaction make them an excellent choice for turning your vision into reality. My bathroom remodel experience was fantastic, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. If you’re considering a remodeling project, this team⬤
