II had a very satisfactory experience with this company yesterday. I called them to replace my water heater. They gave me a fixed price for the job which I thought was very reasonable. The service man who came out the same day was Tommy Pepley who did a fine job. He replaced two water lines at no extra cost and took away the old water heater. I highly recommend this company and will call them again in the future.

LaPensee charged me $472.09 for replacing a rubber flapper in one wc, turning on the off switch under the garbage disposal (by mistake it was on off and there was no electricity), tightening a loose handle of a sink, and unnecessarily replacing the cartridge of the kitchen faucet. In doing so the first plumber damaged the old valves under the kitchen sink and I began to have leaks; took away the water where he tightened the loose handle; didn't solve the main issue for which I had called him: I had no cold water from the kitchen faucet. The problem was under his eyes the whole time, but it took a second LaPensee's plumber to notice it: the filter was too old, it dated 2012, it was a solid piece and no water could go through. I needed to change it, but LaPensee didn't have it. So I ordered it on Amazon ($31 for two) and replaced it myself -- I now have cold water. I complained with LaPensee, but they did not recognize the poor quality work of their first plumber, nor the damages that he caused, nor they agreed to refund me 50% of what I had already paid. It was my first and last experience with LaPensee.

LaPensee installed a new heat pump in late winter in our Florida home. Less than a year later, and the first time I needed heat, the heat pump did not work. They never tested the heat setting when installed. The thermostat was not replaced with the new system. I had renters in our home and they were without heat. I called LaPensee and when they came out they could not find the problem. As it turned out the problem was with the wiring of the thermostat. They installed a temporary thermostat until they sent someone who knew what he was doing and hooked up the 4 wires correctly.
It then worked as it should have when installed. The warranty was not up.
They sent me a bill for almost $400.00. I called twice and emailed and no one responded. They turned it over to a collection agency. I wouldn't deal with them if they were the only company in 100 miles.
Find anyone other than them for AC or Pool service!
