    build pool
    $150,000

paid Larco $150,000.00 to date and have a partially completed gunnite shell. This was the second shell. First shell lifted and cracked by hurricane Idalia. Larco made no precautions for hurricane, so storm surge lifted shell and it cracked. Larco had no insurance for the storm surge.
Paid additional monies to tear down and rebuild. Mike Lara professed to be a good Christian, but I do not see that. He filed Chapter 11 in August which explains why he cannot get subcontractors to work for him. I have now had to go to another pool company to finish project. Larco is down to one full time employee besides himself

Contracted this sorry company to build our pool. As far as the "Pool Perfection Every time" that's BS and a straight up lie! We are disappointed by this company. In my opinion, this is a supposedly veteran-owned company, yet the owner is dishonest (always talking about God BS), and he is stealing from customers, misleading, and deceptive. He refused to correct issues with the pool such ass leaking/ warped water bowls that he installed, crooked and chipped tiles installed by his subcontractor, a discolored blotchy pool coating that was installed and has no warranty which breached contract, he changed contractors so he could pocket half of the cost of my screen enclosure which resulted in a lien on my home that has not been resolved and removed, shingles were never installed on my extended patio roof, his contractors broke my curbing and got pool coating on my vehicle's windshield and grill, and did not pay the screen enclosure company, although he was paid by me.
Exceptionally poor workmanship by him and some of his subcontractors. If you go under contract with this company, your pool build will take a long time (mine took 15 months). This dishonest company is full of lies, employs stalling tactics, and will do minimal work when they do arrive at your residence. In my opinion and experience, you will pay a premium price for poor customer service, communication, and work. The owner is full of excuses/ lies and refuses to be accountable for his actions, he will manipulate Google reviews and report negative ones to deceive customers. Use at your own risk.

If you are going to invest in a pool build, here are some lessons learned from this incident: ensure that you research the pool company and the owner's name that you plan to use. Take time to look them up on the BBB where reviews cannot be deleted or reported, and do not only trust Google. Check the county clerk's website, Google specifically for current or past lawsuits/ bankruptcy records of the pool companies you are thinking of using to avoid potential future headaches or being taken advantage of, as I was in my situation. I would not recommend this company after my experience with them. In my opinion that I have shared, this company uses deceptive business tactics, unethical, and immoral methods against customers. As a Combat Veteran this veteran is a disgrace to the veteran population, his conduct is unbecoming of what Veterans stand for and the values ingrained in us and what we represent.

    Pool resurface
    $430,000

I have paid more than 40k to this company and spent about 15 k in legal fees. Still, my work as he promised is not done Don’t fall for all the positive reviews. It’s all about hurricane clean up and his family and friends Have been waiting for my pool work since February of this year after paying him all the money upfront.
Well, if you want to spend equal amount of money in legal fees, then it’s game.
    This company is a scam!

He change the color of the pool finish without telling us, we accepted it •The lanai ceiling was not even there, even after we told you it was wrong, had to be taken down and redone•TRASH I picked up 3 crates full of debris, trash etc. Kept waiting for you to do it, said you would, never did after 4 weeks, •Lanai contractor left metal chips inside and outside of lanai , never cleaned up, had to actually used a vacuum to clean up inside and outside, prevent dogs from getting hurt, workers said that the rain would take it away?•Lanai workers broke (chipped) 6 of my walkway blocks, you said you would fixed them, did not• sprinklers heads and tubing, YES stated in contract not responsible, but OMG plumber guy broke it 3 times, same spot. 2 x after I marked it with blue paint and red stake, and one time broke the tubing and did not find it until I found the extreme leak in the grass area, I paid for all to be repaired•BIG ISSUE electrical to pump to house, in attic , your guys went corner to corner instead of properly laying it flat around the upper attic, went over wood, beams insulation and you never looked at the job after I complained. •You forgot the diamonds on the steps, had to get them redone•Told me 2 different times pool would be done for visitors, Feb- NOT DONE April-NOT DONE August and still was not done•Filter and 2 filter tubing was plugged and not working, you had the BS to tell me it was my fault because of the sand I put on the tile, it ended up being the shock creek your guys plugged it up.•BIGGEST CONCERN: you said you had everything done and completed, end of contract, pipes still plugged, you put in a chlorine pool NOT a saltwater pool setup and no aqu-link setup, after we told you this, you told my wife financially having troubles, I told you I don’t care I have a contract we paid in full FINISH it and do it right •Because you did not put in the right equipment, we had to pay extra money to get things fixed right•

    pool repair
    $100

Mike and his crew were terrific to work with. They analyzed my issue and came up with a low cost solution without trying to upsell me. They came out on a Saturday, were right on time , and completed the work the same day just like Mike promised. Mike was extremely knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to educate me so I can avoid problems down the road. In my 30 years in the Dunedin area of dealing with repairs, construction, and projects Mike stands out with his honesty and efficiency. It was such a pleasure to work with him and I would highly recommend his company.
