Our experience was similar to the reviewer above. After spending over 30K to renovate a 900 sq ft apt over the course of an entire year, Jorge asked for $8000 to complete the renovation. During that year he would be out of touch for weeks at a time, no returned phone calls, no return emails, nothing.
After sending him the 8K, he vanished. I have tried to contact him countless times, but he does not respond. I hired him thru Home Advisors who has been totally and completely useless in helping us get our money back. Do not use Home Advisors! And do not use Latitude Construction/Jorge Taubkin!
Upon inspection (we live out of town) the completed work was "C-" quality at best. We then had to hire another contractor to correct his mistakes and finish the job.
Do not under any circumstances even consider hiring this outright thief.

We had very bad experience with this contractor. He lies to us all the time, he did many mistakes while building the garage. Finally, he left and took about $7000 in advance. We filed a case against him to the board of Florida contractors. Never deal with this company-person ever!
