Lavoy Remodeling

Small company specializing in kitchen and bathroom remodels. Trim, ceramic tile and custom cabinets and wood working are my strong suit, but I can do any kind of building, fixing or remodeling. I have worked in the area for over 25 years. I spent a lot of time working in Ann Arbor and Saline, but I have been working closer to Tecumseh and Adrian for the past few years. I am licensed and insured.

    general contractors project

    Mr LaVoy 'guaranteed' the so-called waterproof membrane he put on the roof would not need to be tarped and would keep our home dry. He was wrong. We are over $11,000.00 worth of damage to our home. His insurance company has been uncooperative and it took them 20 DAYS to get a representative out to our home. This saga is not over yet. I am VERY disappointed with BuildZoom for recommending this contractor.

    It is unfortunate that this accident happened. I followed the proper procedures for making sure that the roof was water tight. Since this is my first experience with my liability insurance carrier, or any for that matter, I had no idea that they would not be more accommodating to the home owner. I pay a high price for this insurance, but nobody knows how good an insurance company really is until they need it. As for my part in this project, I was on the job every day. I kept in touch with my agent every day. I did everything in my power to make sure that it was taken care of. Also, it should be noted that the agent and the company contacted the client via phone within a day or two of the incident. I was disappointed with the claims adjuster not coming out to the job sooner. But the ok was given by the insurance to start repare work on the day of the incident. Nobody waited 20 days for help with the problem.
