They can’t tell what’s going on with their own installers. Are the running late? They don’t know. Are they going to show up at all? They don’t know. All are very sorry for the inconvenience. Don’t use these guys and more importantly don’t get any flooring from Lowes.

By Julie P.November 13, 2021Subcontracted by Lowe’s for carpet installation
THE INSTALLERS SMOKED IN OUR HOME DURING INSTALLATION!!!! They are difficult to contact. We called about 7 times and got 1 call back despite having questions.
The installation was for our rental home 7 hours from our primary residence. 16 hours prior to installation it gets delayed. Our realtor had schedule her vacation around the install date, and could no longer let them in. We were rescheduled for a 12-2pm arrival.
The day of install they call at 7am and say they are 30 minutes from the house (5 hours early). We had to give them the lockbox code to get in our home.
Halfway through the job, we get a call that they need additional installation fees for installing in a mobile home. The house is a manufactured home with 3/4 inch subflooring on a permanent foundation. They had previously walked the house during measurement with us, and this was not an issue.
During installation they broke our vertical blinds (which we had just replaced). They did not let us know, just left the broken slates lying on a half wall. They left dirt and debris on the tile floors and cigarette ash in our sink. The primary reason for new carpet was our previous tenants had smoked there. We repainted using kils and had the place professionally cleaned. The carpet replacement was the last step in eliminating that smell. And now our brand new carpet smells like smoke. -

I GREATLY REGRET MY DECISION TO GET INVOLVED WITH LEGACY FLOORING.
The following is a summary of my horrible experience with Legacy Flooring. Too many things went wrong, but I tried my best to summarize them for anyone considering them for an install project. If you are, I recommend doing your research.
In the end, the company admitted blame for the difficulties I experienced, but after promising compensation to “make things right”, I got no response to my follow up request. When all was said and done, this sub-par installation took a couple months to complete and unnecessarily cost me several days of vacation time that I never received compensation for.

They installed LVF on un-level subfloor (stated on paperwork that it was level when installed). I noticed it right away, but didn’t want to deal with it until the boards began to shift and the problem of unlevel subfloor became apparent that it wasn’t just wobbly, it was ruining our flooring. Had people come out. They said that the foundation must have shifted in a few months creating variant heights greater than an inch in small spaces, a completely false and ridiculous statement considering that it is physically impossible for that to just happen in a few months. In short, they pulled the carpet out, saw the subfloor was not level, didn’t want to deal with it, stated they were fine, and installed the flooring anyway. Now they just gaslight me with the same absolute nonsense about foundations that just become wavy all of the sudden and refuse to do anything until I, personally fix the subfloors or hire someone else to do it. They refuse to acknowledge that the subfloors were not level when they installed the flooring. It’s physically not possible that they are correct. They absolutely cut corners, and are not honoring their warranty. Avoid at all costs! I’m irritated with Lowe’s as well because their corporate robot that I spoke with most recently just kept repeating, “I’m sorry you feel…” Nope! Be sorry that the company you subcontracted cut corners and didn’t install our flooring within the parameters of the manufacturer’s specifications and just lied about the subfloors being level.
