Legacy Home Plans

I am a NC Licensed builder and was skeptical of 'modifying' a stock plan long distance. In the end, I have nothing but praise for the professionalism and vision of Legacy Home Plans. Steve and Terrell worked tirelessly to blend my changes into 'their' plan from inventory ; they truly cared about the legacy this home will be. My house 'feels" like I wanted it to end up and I have the utmost respect and gratitude for the fine job. I wouldn't hesitate to hire the Legacy Firm again and can't wait to construct this home.

I engaged Steve at Legacy Home Plans to develop architectural plans for a carport. The plans were complicated by the fact that they had to be approved by the HOA and POA, two boards that govern our South Carolina historic neighborhood. No plans existed, but I had photographs of the design that I wanted. Steve took the photographs, along with my descriptions, and produced wonderful architectural plans that were used to obtain a building permit. And he and his team completed the plans in less than a week! They were phenomenal! The plans were detailed and accurate in every aspect. No changes were required. Plus, he not only provided me estimations for cost to build, he also completed a rendering of the carport that was so "lifelike" that I could almost feel the grain in the wood!! My hat is off to Steve and his team! So responsive and so professional! Great job, Steve, and thank you!!

My husband had a very custom Modern home plan in mind. We looked through all of the online plans, contacted local architects and even tried to design it ourselves with software we purchased. Nothing was working for him. I found Steve through an online search but my husband was hesitant to use him because he wasn't comfortable working with Steve remotely. As fate would have it, Steve and his family came to our city to visit other family members. They were gracious enough to come to our property and meet with my husband. They clicked immediately and my husband finally found someone that understood his vision for this house. After a few more video conferences and phone calls, we've since gotten completed plans as well as beautiful renderings of what the finished house will look like. Trust me...don't let any remote collaboration deter you from using this talented architect! It is definitely time and money well spent.

I would 100% recommend Steve and Legacy Home Plans! My husband and I found the perfect plan for our forever home with the exception we needed the layout reversed. After speaking with Steve on the phone he was able to have our house plan layout reversed and made the whole process go smooth and stress free. After we received our plans I then contacted Steve about a building materials list and the possibility of him drawing one up since it was not originally offered with the plan we purchased. He was able to ease all of my concerns with what would be included in the materials lists and answered all of my questions and was extremely helpful. He was able to get the materials list for me and even added a few extras to help us out! I am so pleased with Steve and this company!! They are quick to respond and eager to help! If we ever build again I will definitely be calling them! :-)

Working with Steve was prompt and efficient. He recommended design details for our detached garage which were insightful and so perfect for the project. Working with him via telephone made this project seem like a hometown friend was designing the building for us. The price is so reasonable. Had we known of Steve, we would have used him instead of a local architect for our house.

A consumate professional design job from top to bottom! Steve nad his draftemen and women were detailed, knowledgeable, innovative and open to brainstorming and revision work. The level of expertise was sufficient for my builder to use their design to make detailed materials lists and complete cost estimates I'm planning to come back to them for a much larger project.

I learned the hard way that I should have gone to Legacy Home Plans first. Previously, I paid a local builder to draft my detached garage plans, but the finished product was not up to par with city requirements. I worked very closely with Steve over the phone who ensured I received everything I needed in the plans...the first time. He was down to earth and provided a small-town business feel to the whole transaction. I was able to get my garage plans approved by the city without any issues. Additionally, the price was very reasonable compared to what I paid before (more) for a sub-par product. I highly recommend Legacy Home Plans.
