STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY! Larry Jenkins (the sole proprietor of Legacy Homes) is an absolute LIAR and a CROOK! We signed a contract with him to build our home and, although his contract clearly stipulated that we would pay him as work was performed, he immediately demanded payment in advance. We naively paid him 60% of his contract before he had done anything beyond having our prepaid materials delivered onsite and then he never lifted a finger to do anything more, despite promising for 18 months that he was securing labor bids (of which he never got one) and communicating with the subcontractors which WE had to find (which he was NOT doing)! When we discovered the framing crew had made mistakes because of his lack of any oversight, he claimed that he had a health emergency and tried to avoid any liability by declaring that he had to cancel our contract. We took him to court and won a signicant judgment against him for his failure to perform and fraudulent behavior. We discovered later that he had treated at least two other homeowner clients in this same fraudulent way. HE IS A CROOK. STAY AWAY FROM HIM!
