    I would highly recommend not working with Lendos Rafael. The lack of professional service and communication was an issue throughout the entire process but the ethical issues of changing the terms of service and asking us to pay a bill we never agreed to was the most frustrating part.

    We initially started conversations with Rafael Lendos about doing a remodel. He recommended an architect, Jocelyn Honorate, with whom he said he had completed many projects before. He confirmed that she would provide a draft version and established a fixed price that seemed accurate for non-construction drafts. After Rafael and Jocelyn visited, we had to reach out multiple times, were ignored and finally heard that the drafts were ready 45 business days later. The drafts included a bill for 233% more than the initial price.

    When we asked Rafael and the architect about the drastic change in price, he first claimed that the initial price “was for the visit and measure only. The rest of it she is explaining it on the invoice.” When I asked him, “why did you not mention the full price of the services? What value is there in telling me a partial price without disclosing the full price?” Rafael responded with “I'm not the one that dictates or set the price, She does.” He continually avoided answering why he shared prices that the architect supposedly didn’t agree to or why the hourly rate nor maximums or minimums of hours were ever shared beforehand.

    At the end of the day, our experience with Rafael Lendos was extremely frustrating. I hope that his actions weren’t intentional but it just doesn’t add up. More than anything it served as a prime example of the dangers of doing business with un-established companies. Instead of taking responsibility for the poor communication of prices and services, he said “Don't make excuses dude. Just pay the bill”

    The silver lining in this situation is that we ended our business relationship with Rafael before it grew into a full project where unclear pricing could have been thousands more not hundreds. Hopefully this one review will help at least one person avoid the headache we went through.
