  Level concrete floor, lay laminate flooring

  This project began as a simple carpet installation in a room measuring 17' x 17'.
  We had purchased and attempted to install laminate flooring on our own but quickly realized that the concrete floor was too uneven to continue, so we decided to have the entire room just carpeted instead.
  Leon Carpet LLC came in to take a look and give us an estimate for the job. We mentioned our failed attempt at laminating the floor and it was suggested that the concrete could be leveled and that our laminate could still be installed over that.
  Although it cost more than a carpet installation, we really preferred to have the laminate flooring (that we had already purchased) installed than an inexpensive carpet. We agreed to have the leveling done and have our own laminate installed by them.
  First Day: The crew arrived, ground, sanded, and prepped the concrete and then poured and spread the leveling compound.
  Second Day: Crew returns and we notice that a couple of the cracks had absorbed too much compound and were still visible and uneven. A second layer of the compound was spread.
  Third Day: The floor is now level but needs an additional day for the moisture to dry out of the compound. We add two fans to help.
  Fourth Day: The underlayment and laminate is layed. New baseboards are installed. Half-round added in a few places.
  Inspection: The quality of this work is actually magnificent. The room looks completely different. There are absolutely zero visible seams in the laminate, the white baseboards were touched up with matching white silicone to cover the corner seams and any staple and/or nail holes. The entire job site was meticulously cleaned.
  We are absolutely amazed and overjoyed in how beautiful this floor turned out. Leon Carpet went far beyond our expectations.
  Everyone involved in this project was super friendly, and understood exactly what we were looking for. We must have gone into that room least ten times that night just to admire the workmanship and how dramatically the room had improved.
  We have already decided that Leon Carpet will get our next project (bathroom/tiles) when we get ready to tackle it later this year.
