We hired this company to do our bathroom remodel. He priced it at 3400 and we agreed to go with him. The next day while doing the work he said we need to pay him 1500 extra because he needs to dig 2ft into the ground to run pipes for the toilet. He said its that expensive because it will take 2 guys 2 days to dig the 2 feet and run the pipe. My husband and I reluctantly agree. The following day I noticed that the workers spent a few hrs digging barely 8in and I asked if they are still digging 2 feet deep. They told me that they dont have to anymore so I asked Leo why do I still have pay for the digging if they no longer doing it and he said because I agreed to. I told him I agreed to pay 1500 if he had to dig it but since he no longer is i shouldn't have to pay that money. Then he said he only took the job because we agreed to pay 1500 more whereas we agreed on the job at 3400 and then he told us AFTER he started working that we need to pay 1500 more, for something he didnt actually do. We tried to reason with him that it doesnt make sense for us to pay for the job they are not doing and he didnt want to hear it. So we asked them to stop and leave. We lost our deposit of 2400 and I am really upset. It feels like he hooked us with a reasonable price only to try to manipulate more money out of us later. I give 2 stars because the work he did was neat.
