    Solar Instal

One of the best companies I've worked with. Very prompt, direct, and honest. I normally don't give reviews but I really feel like these guys deserve it. I highly recommend lighting.

Home Solar syst m installation with battery backup.
    $98,000

My experience so far with Lighting Electric has not been very good so far. I was contacted by Solar By Nature (as far as I can tell, they are a Solar Installation sales compqny that helps Electricians find jobs, for a commission), after submitting one of those Solar inquiry's after doing a Google search. After a couple meetings with Solar By Nature, I signed loan papers in Feb 2022, and about a month later things finally started moving on getting the work done. Originally my order called for 49 350w Qcell solar panels, paired with Enphase IQ7+ micro inverters. I also paid for one Enphase IQ10, and one IQ3 battery to be installed, so my solar panels would be able to remain functional if the grid goes down in a storm. When the supplies arrived, I discovered the 49 panels and inverters had been substituted for 43 Canadian Solar 395w panels, with 43 IQ7+ micro inverters, refusing overall available power due to the reduced number of inverters, but d cided since it was still a pretty large syst m it should still handle our needs. System was installed on the roof, passed inspection, and new meter was installed by the power company, and I was given the ok to turn on the panels by the power company. After talking with the owner of Lighting Electric, I was told it was ok to turn on the panels, but not to turn on the batteries yet, because they had to come back to my house and Commission the Enphase system, and check to make sure everything was working properly or my batteries could be damaged or even possibly burn the house down. After a few weeks of m calling, they finally s ny someone down withoujt giving him any information about what he was sent to do, so he didn't have the proper parts or tools to do anything. That employee tried to contact the owner (who was on vacation) and fell asleep in his car in my driveway for 2 hours, waiting for a call back that never came. Another week went by, and I finally got ahold of the owner again, and he got mad saying"I already sent someone down to finish that", like it was my fault that the job wasn't finished. Another week later he sent his son down to finish the job. Upon arrival, he quickly started updating the software for the Enphase syat m(which took assistance from Enphase tech support), but was still unable to Commission my system, or get the batteries up and running due to an issue caused by the company having more than one installer account with Enphase. Now it has been another 2 weeks and they refuse to even answer or return my calls, and their work still is not done. We are now heading into Hurricane season, and if the grid go s down, we still won't have power to keep our foods or medications that require refrigeration from spoiling (our number 1 reason for wanting solar). If I knew this was the type of treatment I was going to receive from this company, I NEVER would have signed loan papers for over $98,000 (roof replacement, blow-in insulation, and solar system + installation). Highly recommend doing some research before hiring this contractor, there might be someone more reliable in the area.
