BUYER BEWARE!! HE NEEDS A NEGATIVE STAR RATING.
The worst contractor bar none. He has had lawsuits against him, had his Texas license taken away from the state, closed that company and reopened another company under his wife's name and so on. He put many families at great risk and has posted an image of our home which he does not have permission to post and did not finish the work at our house as he was not allowed to finish or come near our property after our legal mediation.
We were so incredibly lucky after we hired a mechanical and structural engineer to find all the faulty issues with the electrical and plumbing before Luther was actually finished and the issues could escalate into horrific repairs and damage unlike many other families he did the same thing to them and they did not know until their damages were enormous. When we went to mediation the charmer became the nastiest human being when challenged with all the faulty workmanship and facts of the faulty work that his teams had done in violation of building codes which were all photographed and cited for him. Just horrific and a nasty human being.
Everyone deserves a chance and that is true of Luther but he needs to take a chance with something he is better suited to and leave building and remodeling to good and honest contractors.
PLEASE BEWARE AND SAFE.
WE WOULD NOT TRUST HIM WITH OUR WORST ENEMY FOR ANY CONSTRUCTION PROJECT.

My experience is just like Rae, Michael and Katrina above. He is a charming con man. He lied about his “crew’s experience”. First of all …no crew. Just one man who remained faithful but Luther had him at other projects so work at my house just stopped.. His so called electrician barely knew how to turn a light on let alone anything else. That electrcian stole my gold watch. I knew it was him and told Luther. Next day Luther asked if he could check around where it had been. And “big surprise” he found it…right after it took it out of his pocket. He made lots of promises and fulfilled ZERO! I had to have the master shower completely gutted and redone. My dishwasher was wired to a outlet for the coffee pot. WRONG! So much of the other work was just shoddy!
Save yourself heartache and money and DO NOT HIRE LUTHER LINGENFELDER.

A job Luther said would take 3 weeks took over 7months. He wasn’t finished when he left but we had to get him and his dwindling crew out of our house. We had to have bathroom tiles redone three times, wood floors done twice. They installed the toilet vent too close to the valley in to roof and when it rains it leaks in the living room, now so bad we are having to redo it. They scratched our counter tops terribly and the wood floors. He said he put lintels in above some new doors, but totally did not. He said all sorts of things and never followed through or flat out lied about having done them. The crew left our doors unlocked multiple times. Worst experience ever. Do not hire him. He talks a convincing talk but does not know anything, will not follow through, will take your money without doing the work.

Unreliable, unqualified workers.
Empty promises, lies and excuses.
Do not recommend.... stay away!

Luther will make promises but he does not do what he says he will do. He was supposed to refinish my wood floor but left them worse than when he started. He worked on remodeling my bathroom but did not do what he promised and never finished. He worked on a smallish contract for over a year but still didn't finish. He took money for an expansion of my house and 9 months later has not completed the plans. Makes a mess and leaves his stuff resulting in using my home as a storage facility for his tools.

DO NOT HIRE!!
