I recently completed a custom home project in Prescott. I engaged Littles Landscape to design and complete an extensive landscape Project, which included significant drainage control, hardscape and softscape, along with a full LED lighting design. He was recommended by my builder, a very reputable custom builder in Prescott.
I watched each day for almost a full month while Devin and his extremely professional crew, including Chaz, John, Robert and a number of other guys, worked daily to complete my complex and detailed project. I observed extremely hard working professionals, who took pride in their work, complete my project. My wife and I could not be happier with the completed project.
Devin kept me updated almost on a daily basis while he and his crew worked to finish the project. He also came in on budget and was very adaptable as we encountered unanticipated challenges, showing great flexibility and adaptability.
I was so impressed that I recommended him to a neighbor who engaged Devin to start a major landscaping project on his property.
While his pricing was surely competitive, I was truly most impressed with the absolute professionalism of his entire crew. It was obvious to my wife and I that they took pride in their work and wanted to deliver the best product they could, whether it was the location of planting, lighting, steps in my courtyard or the difficult hardscape done to ensure proper drainage on my mountain property.
I cannot give a higher recommendation bases on my experience over the last 4 weeks. -

I placed a review last night here in response to a Linda who she states is a manger of one of our local business, I believe Ace Hardware. Nether I nore my family hold Ace Hardware to be responsible in anyway for Mr. Little's miss deeds. His bad work, poor attitude are his fault alone, he has no one to blame but himself. I would wish this add on response to be view together with the one written prior to this one. I also stated (last night) that the review was wholly true I was of course referring to that of my prior review on I believe April 17th 2012, the first one posted ( of course Mr. Little must spin a tale to all that will hear, his actions were horrible, very mortifying, my father is spinning around in his urn.). I have but a few items too add to early review, then I intend to remain, still as I wish linda would, till the process has a chance to run it's course in the case of Mr. Little. As time has worn on I have come across other issues with Mr. Little's work, briefly the lines he was to repair developed numerious breaks after his so called repaired and inspectioned them, (this is odd) Our main line which Devin altered ruptured suddenly back in Jan of this year. It did not break as much as separate, for I found that there was no glue on the ends welding them together in a firm bond. It had to be repair. Mr. Little also left the huge hole for the main open and uncovered, very unwise, I asked him to cover it when done he did not. For you see our 26 yrs lab, the fav of my dad who died, fell into the hole, as a result of that she had a stroke. Her name was Zambeea (I m using her likeness as my upload photo, next to my name) She never fully recovered, we had to just resently put her down, thanks Devin. I know Mr. Little did not intend for this to happen, but it did as a result of his negligence. Dear Linda has never been to our house/ jobsite, she doesn't know us personally. For Linda to be throwing around or intimating that we are shady or up to something. This is very unwise, I would strongly urge she to refrain from such activity. She only knows what she has was told, I am sure by Mr. Little, is trying to cover himself. He tried the same thing with my family and I. Saying his customers were treating him like dirt, bashing him, we almost fell for it. I know that not ever one (referring to customers) is always a delight to deal with, some are harder to please than others. But my experience and that of my father (I worked with him on and off through out the years,) was that if you are clear, honest, flexible, willing to please etc, etc, most of the time it works out. None of which Mr. Little did, if he had we would be singing his praises upon mountain high. We wished greatly for this. we did really like Mr. Devin, it hurt my mother greatly when he turned out to be such a rotten little stinker, and such. In closing, please all who are attending to this issue, be still, calm. We will be following up with Mr. Little with Arizona Registrar of contractors (ROC) and very likely our family attorney.
Thank You D.G.

The person in question, Mr. Little, of Little's Landscape and design, did work on my family's property. The review posted was fully true, yes unfortunate indeed. After losing my father to suicide, we needed a responsible straight shooter, thought Mr. Devin was the answer, but sadly it was not to be. Mr. Little knows why, so does Linda. The Anonymous reviewer(Linda) on June 6, 2013, is a little odd to me, she seems to be one way on the phone and another online, it is so hard to find, good honest fair, help here in Chino Valley. Yes we did finally find a good solid, straight shooter finally. I so wished it could have been Mr. Little. We will be following up with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors (ROC) it has taken some time, for we have had another death in the family. Linda needs to with hold judgment until everything is played out. Once that is done, I will leave it for others to decide for themselves. So please wait until everything is in. Seems to be a PR. campaign going on here, Anonymous Linda are you not better than this? you so disappoint me. Please resist the urge to cast shadows upon my family, The results will speak for themselves. Thank You

As the manager of the lawn and garden department; for one of
Chino's local hardware stores, I have referred Little's Landscaping and Design to quite a few of my customers with a 100% positive feedback. The review that was done by DG in April, while his experience is unfortunate, they also had problems with another of my best referrels, that also has a 100% positive feedback to me. So with both of my best referrels not being able to make DG and his mother happy, I leave you to figure out where the problem lies!

hi I worked for devin little he seemed like a good guy at first then I started realizing he does half ass work he had a Craigslist posting saying for experienced landscaper he would start at 14 an hour and I am experienced. he said he could only pay me 8.50 an hour and I accepted his offer, he said he was going trough guys because thy weren't hard workers so I worked to show him that I was a hard worker, he worked through the snow not caring how cold or wet the ground or weather was. I asked him if he could raise me to the 14 dollars an hour because I was not gonna work through that weather making 8.50 an hour. he got mad at me and said to wait about a month and I would get it and if another job came around he wasn't gonna stop me from taking it. he then refused a
job and didn't want to work on the weekend so I took the job, not thinking he'd get mad over it but he did, he told me I lost money for his company. he then told me not to come to work for the next two days due to mud, I showed up on Wednesday and worked for three hours with devin, he did not say one word to me and as soon as he left he calls me telling me I'm fired and to get off his "XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXing" job site. I then went on Friday to pick up my check and he did not talk to me, I went to look at how many hours I worked and I realized that he has only been paying me 6.50 an hour. not only does Mr little belittles and disrespects disables people he also disrespects his workers and is not a man of his word. I've worked for higher landscaping companies and this is not the way to treat your clients or workers. -

I hired littles landscaping and had pavers done and two weeks later my pavers are sinking into the ground, not only did they do a horrible job but devin was completely arrogant and did not have his workers do the work the right way they did it the ghetto way. I do not recommend this landscape company to anyone, I wasted my money on a job I could have done better. I wish I had something nice to say about Mr Littles landscape company but I do not.

I have hired Little's Landscaping and Design on two sepatate occaisions. Devin and his crew were always very polite and courteous. The work they completed is beautiful! They are all very hard workers with exceptionally good attitudes. The first job I hired them for was to repair a bar-ditch. Devin made it functional again and now it looks good too. The second job was for a 14' x 24' patio extention. He and his crew did a remarkable job! They even did a few 'extras' (not associated with the patio) free of charge. My husband and I are extremely pleased. For our next landscaping projects, we will definitely be calling on Little's Landscaping and Design to do the job. They work fast, hard and get the job done right. No need to shop around for an excellent landscaping company. Thanks Devin, Marcus and Mike.

Littles landscaping did a large (1/2 acre) total landcaping project for me. I found him to be honest, hardworking, fair and reliable. He treated me, as his customer, with the utmost respect and the landscaping that he designed and installed turned out beautiful and on budget and on time as he had written in his proposal. He was neither the cheapest nor most expensive bid I had (In my experiences I have found you get what you pay for ). We interveiwed 4 companies before hiring Devin Little and his company. We did end up adding itemsand apying extra, as we got further into the project but that was because we requested them and they were not in the original bid. Mr. Little, Marcus and Devins crew were a delight to work with. They showed up when we were told they would be here and at times even put in 9 and 10 hr days. We have had many compliments and requests for a referal of who did our landscaping, which we have given with confidence that they will be as happy with Mr. little and his work as we were. I would not hesitate to hire Mr. Little and his company to do any landscaping job or design again and will in fact do so for any of my future needs.

I am shocked over the previous review pertaining to Littles Landscaping! Mr. Little recently did a large landscaping job for us and we found him to be professional, honest, hardworking, knowledgeable and devoted to not only his employees but definitely to us as his customer. He respected us, as his customer, in our wants and needs in getting the job completed in a maore than satisfactory maner. He did a wonderful job in designing and construction of our entire project. Mr. Little in no way came even close to what this "gentleman" is describing above.
I would not hesitate to recommend Littles landscaping to any one..... and have, as we have had many people stop by my home and asked who did the landscaping. I will also use him to do another project I need done as he was fair in price and we were happy with all aspects of him and his work. -

Mr. Little (Devin Little) of Little's Landscape and Design, 1650 east center Street, Chino valley, az 86323,(928) 308-7670

Mr. Little resently did some Landscaping and yard work for my mother. We have just lost my father her husband to suicide. My father was a licensed contractor for over thirty years. With my father gone we needed some things like the water and sprinklers etc, fixed. We had done bussiness with Chino valley heating and cooling, for which Devin Little had worked before. We liked his dad, so if the father is ok so is the son, oh nono no no, he is not. I usallly pried my self on being a fair a blanced fello, I really wish I had something good to say about Devin Little, but I can not.Mr. Little said he does big work importiant work, safeway, walmart etc landscaping, he said his rate was 30 dollars an hour my mother a former career woman said no we can not afford that. He said I usally bit out each project other wise. Again she said no, we can only afford 15.00 dollars and hour. Well mr Big jump at it. Little no pun here, did we know we were in for an adventure straight out of danet's Infero. Or doing bussiness with the Hillbilly Unit, Mr. Devin think's he is a man among men. he makes things happen, if any one go's against him, him and his brother put the word out about that person group of people, and things just happen. I asked him what this meant, and that I hoped that he was not talking about something immoral or ileagal. He just smiled at me, and kept snaping his fingers. I thought ok this young man is kidding or trying to impress me, which it did not. I should have informed my mother right away about this, but i didnot take it seriously.
any how devin agreed to the 15 dollars an hour and things started off ok, he seemed like a hard worker, he played up the family angle. he even brought his son over to meet us, I guess to help us feel like I am a family man, hard work, faith, god and good clean living, you do not have to worry about me. shortly as time wore on, devin said i need help, so my mother thought things were going ok at the time and she went back on her deal and paid another helper named either Marcus, he seems like a good guy, but for some reason he always seems worried, and stressed out. I think he and marcus have a falling out every so often. When i look at marcus he can not seem to meet my gaze very well. I wish in looking back that I had talked to him and picked his brain more. Or sometimes it was a very young looking guy named mike.
So as things went on, Devin started saying i need more materials for this or that more turf, soil, more rail roadties. The first few times my mother said ok, but she said to me, keep an eye on him, make sure this does not get out of hand. Then devin started not showing up, not returning calls. then when he would show up, he stared doing sloppy work. Devin or one of his men, stepped on my mother newly planted bushes and crushed them. maybe by accident or carelessness which ever, if you have had the misfortoune to deal with devin you can make up your own mind. He stared leaving tools, trash, and beems and holes along the property. I spoke to devin about this. He said sorry I will see that it is corrected, but it never was. We Like Devin but things start not adding up he kept asking for more and more money and materials. It was adding up, by this time also it started showing that his quality of work was not what we thought, and things were going unfinished. he even left us with no way to water our plants or property for a whole week. we started calling and texting him, he became rude and agressive verbly with my mother, who is a disabled but young looking 60 yrsold woman. I her son I have M.S. myself, but i am very protective of my mother, as any good son is. I spoke with Devin about finishing up this his work and getting out of dodge. He said what do you want. he said You know I need to start bidding out the rest of the job. I told him you can not change terms of a contract in mid-stream, and we would hold him to the contract and his word. Poor devin did not like this. I think he maybe going out of bussiness or having trouble paying his bills.
As time went on from this point things started to really go down hill. i called devin told him to get over here and finish up. we also start looking at devin recipts for materials etc, and we are stilling looking into this. we started asked devin a lot of questions, that he did not seem to have a good answer to.
Devin became more and more unstable and unrelyable. we called him about our grass that as of this writting has yet to come in. I think that devin was padding the bill for materials and railroad ties etc for himself or to use on another job. or just plain over charging. we are still investagating these and other issues about our dealings with him.
Finally devin returned with a final order of railroad ties to finished my mother planters. i thought to my self, be nice grin bear it, get him done and off the property. to end things as well as we could. Devin showed up with the ties and four other men and an attiude. He jumped off the truck, got in my face in a threatening manner, and told me, for some B.S. reason, he was going to stick us with things as is. he said we are done, and you can just like it. I think devin was trying to goat me into a physical conferntation in front of the other four men other had garthered about me in a threatening manner. To cut it short we pay our debits, he was paied in full, for the outstanding balance, with devin. he then told to leave the property. We then filed a police report about this event.
In closing there seems to be a growing list of people about that have had simular events with devin. i cannot speak to those others other than may own personal and that of my mother events with devin. I personally feel devin is a lair, a con, a cheat I do not think devin has the emotional maturity to run a sucessful bussiness, he most certainity does not know how to deal with home owners of customers of any type.
As of this writting we are looking into far-reaching resreach and his license and his bond to recup our loses. This for us is not over. Save yourself the trouble and avoid mr. Devin Little's (Little's Landscape and design.) do your homework before you hire someone, it could save you a lot of trouble in the end. He does half ass work, if at all, he tries to con you, into more money, I have found him not to be a man of his word. One would have a better time dealing with, the mob, or the marquis de sade. renember you have been warned.
Anti-Devinite, with good reason.

Little's Landscape installed a paver walkway and patio at our home. We had several complaints during the course of the job. They addressed some of the complaints (albeit with a very poor and rude attitude!) but not all of them. When they were "finished" it looked like we'd hired a handyman to do the work - not a licensed contractor. My husband had to finish the work to bring it up to an acceptable standard. I definitely would not recommend this company.
