Needed to Get rid of large number of new weeds growing everywhere in my yard, due to excessive wind debris & small seeds blowing over wall into large patio area, in late fall, and to Clean the moss off a long planting area retaining wall. Told they would power wash the wall and seal it with a clear coating and would put weed kill on weeds and later power blow them out of the yard.
I Got a very simple estimate of ($1,900) thought was a little excessive. But I needed to go to an appointment & could not do the job myself. He gave me a business card (which I later found out was not his name but that of the company owner) and said he would be back to start work on Wed. Estimate was not signed by either of us. when I returned, I ask about my drip system in all the beds and was told they did not touch it. After not hearing back, I called about my issues: That is when I discovered that none of the men doing the work (name on the Business card provided) were the owner (accent & speech very different). Also, address of business on Website, License Board, & Estimate do not all agree, plus Board filling indicates business has no employees! He (owner) made an appointment for someone to come back. No Phone call and no visit have occurred!
They laid the landscape fabric over drippers and plumbing system. Drippers need adjusting frequently, particularly when new plants are added and lines extended. With fabric covering system it will be very difficult to ID the problem and fix. Plus, I have a leak somewhere in my drip watering system. You can hear excessive water flow, but I have not found problem yet – assume when scooping ground cover, et cetera, a water line was breached. Furniture move on patio but not returned to original location. Trash left on site.
