Horrible work. Did a poor installation and lied and stood me up twice when they set appointments to repair. These are not good contractors. They will bail out and leave you with garbage work

I had a similar experience with the previous post - lack of showing up, shoddy work, and halfway through the project demanding more money. We initially hired Jose Jr. and his father to paint our outside which worked out so we hired him to remodel our kitchen and master bath. He stated that he had done many previous jobs similar to ours and included pictures. He said I could contact the previous references but never really gave me their names or numbers which we should have taken as our first red flag. Half way through the job he sat me and my husband down and demanded more money for the job - 20K more to be exact. Keep in mind, we had open walls and were completely at their mercy. He basically held us hostage to complete our own home. We got to a point (about 80% of completion) where my husband had enough of his terrible work, workers not showing up (which Jose blamed on us btw.. not his own incompetence), and just lack of respect he showed to us that we basically fired him from the job. We can't speak ill of some of his subcontractors (which were great) but he and his workers were just absolutely terrible. We found problems later like our master bath piping system had cement in the main drain (we ended up replacing our plumbing) which just shows you the lack of detail and discipline he gave to the project. I hope this post helps with anyone who is ever possibly considering giving this guy any work - think twice!!! Go with an established contractor who isn't going to swindle you out of thousands.
