LMD Design and Construction - Lori Bovarnick

Lori is a con artist. She over promised and under delivered. She literally left my family in the freezing cold, with a half open house. Her carpenter ended up taking over our project, because he is a stand up guy. I would NEVER use her! Beware!

Lori and her company did a great job of remodeling my kitchen, and 2 bathrooms in my home in Newton. She was attentive, helped with design and her crew was just awesome! Totally would recommend her, no idea why anyone would suggest otherwise.

Lori and her company helped me with the renovations of an older townhouse and modernized the kitchen, bathrooms and unit overall. Her attention to detail and eye for design was exceptional and my place came out amazing. I would highly recommend Lori to anyone.

The scary reviews above are true. LMD Construction is mismanaged, lacking supervision and planning leaving the homeowner to call repeatedly looking for schedules and running around for supplies. Lori only appears asking for money even when you already paid over 70% of the job but out of fear that no one will show up to work for consecutive weeks, we continually said yes. 7 months later, we are still waiting for completion. A friend saw this website and I felt compelled to warn anyone to stay away if you are considering this horrible company.

Stay away... a total fraud who is a scam artist. had insurance claim with storm damages... mole check-replace rotted wood-replace insulation - replace light fixtures-dumpster...20k job... two week job she told my wife... had two painters there for 2.5 days ...took 50% deposit which by law maximum is 30%... came looking for full balance... when questioned she went MIA..... Stay Away !

I was very happy with Lori. She got the work done in a very timely manner. My job was very extensive, and it got done in record time. She followed through with everything she promised and always got back to me when I called. Her taste was excellent and the house came out beautiful. I would recommend her.

Working with Lori has been the most awful experience I could imagine. She holds herself out as someone with integrity, but she has NONE. She promised painting to start 2 months before it did. She told me that the tiles she ordered for me would be delivered in 3 weeks. 3 months later, I'm still waiting. Her standard line is, "I'll send you the estimate as soon as I get back to my office," and then it turns out that she still doesn't have the estimate. She promises to call and never does. She quoted us a price for painting and then wanted to double it because she had made an error with the pricing. She never has accounted for her "design" hours, and has done NOTHING to help us. Hiring Lori has been a huge waste of money and time. I can't believe she's in business.

A.T. you are right. We had her work for us when she was with Legacy Construction. I ended up doing her job 1/2 way through the project because the construction people could never get a hold of her. She over promised us, completely disorganized and thankfully since I build a strong relationship with the actual construction people, my job was finished a month and a 1/2 after the promised finished date. Oh, and at the end we got charged 30% more of what was quoted. Legacy Construction went under shortly after that. I am floored at how someone who has a family of her own can behave like that with other families...how does she sleep at night?

Lori is an excellent - highly recommended interior designer and contractor. She helped us renovate our kitchen and she did a wonderful job.
She has a gorgeous taste and she is extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

We had work done by Lori Bovarnick (she is associated with several companies, LoriMeg Designs, Legacy Construction). I would not recommend her or any of the companies associated with her. She does a fantastic sales job, promising to oversee the project and communicate regularly. However, she is very disorganized, always overpromises, refuses to answer communications and triples the promised timelines. According to contractors working with her, this is a consistent problem with several customers. She is in financial trouble and as several unhappy clients. Please beware. We learned te are way.
