By AnonymousOctober 10, 2014giving an estimate for lawn work$80Unsatisfactory
Charged us $80.00 for an Estimate that he said was FREE. I am very upset that he started digging in our yard PRIOR to us accepting his estimate, then proceeded to send us a bill. I will never use his services and I am contacting the BBB.

I am the TRUSTEE for my parent's Living Trust. My parents got a high Albuquerque water bill. I went through Angie's List/HomeAdvisor to get a plumber who could provide a written estimate on possible repairs for the situation. I was provided a list of five, reviewed comments and actually wrote an email ALL-OUT Plumbing requesting they go provide an estimate. Shortly after filing a request with Angie's List/HomeAdvisor, I received a call from a Mr. Robert Wilson of LOBO Plumbing (Actually found out it is LOBO LAWN later and today see it listed as Coyote Cutters LLC.) I shared with him the situation and told him we need a written estimate prior to any work. He said he could go by my parent's house within the hour, that there was no weekend OT charge and that he would assess the situation and call me when he was there with a written estimate. He made no mention of any trip charges. In the meanwhile, ALL-OUT Plumbing called and said he would be able to go by later as he was headed to the NE Heights for a job. I received a call from my dad a bit later and he gave the phone to Robert Wilson of LOBO Plumbing. Mr. Wilson said that he had gone into the house, made sure both toilet valves were turned off, checked the meter (which stopped), went in and adjusted the hall toilet tank fill valve, told my dad the flappers were OK and the bill is $120.00. When he told me THAT, I asked why he did anything when I am the one who filed the request with Angie's List/HomeAdvisor, I am the TRUSTEE on The Living Trust and that he had NOT provided me with a written estimate [as I had requested from both him and ALL-OUT Plumbing.] He gave me a story about not being able to do any kind of estimate without looking at where possible leaks were. And when I suggested that when he knew what it was, knew he needed to contact me, knew there was a request for a written estimate...and knew the occupants of the house were elderly (My folks are BOTH 92 years old) that he just went ahead and adjusted the set screw on the toilet tank water intake valve and now he wanted $120.00 for THAT?? I had him give the phone to dad and told him to write the man a check to get him out of the house and I'd take care of it ASAP. [Come to find out, he had dad write the check to LOBO LAWN.] I waited about ten minutes for him to exit the house and called Robert Wilson on his cell phone and told him outright that he could take the check back to my folks' house within 20 minutes or I would put a Stop Payment on the check. He blew up. I told him to do so or I would surely stop payment on the check, file a complaint with Angie's List/HomeAdvisor and with the BBB. He said he'd see me in court. We hung up. I called Bank of the West after hours phone and filed the Stop Payment. I filed a complaint with HomeAdvisor (flipped over from Angie's List) and filed this review. I will also file the BBB report.
