Mr Steve as I knew him is a highly driven Intelligent home builder who runs a class act business from my perspective . When he built for us, he was one of the younger contractors in the Metro-Jackson area even though he had been building for about 10 years at the time he constructed our home. Possibly being relatively young, he was more willing to take extra steps to insure quality and strived for perfection.. He is honest and straight forward unlike many builders Id delt with in the past. He got a great education from one of the top Development companies in Mississippi mentored by Mark S Jordan who with my understanding won National Neighborhood of the year in 2002 for his work on Dinsmor an upscale development in Ridgland ,Ms . Although Steve and Mark worked together for several years befor going out on his own, I found that Steve ran all aspects of construction. Maybe Mark was just his backer as Steve was already building for a few years before they teamed up.. His companies name at the Time was Old Trace Homes LLC and did very well including winning best overall and 4 other awards in the up to $200,000 range for the annual Parade of Homes(yearly awards given out to the best builders in several classes.. He has a no-nonsense approach and doesn't like home owners to get overly involved once the deal is struck. However, he was alway willing to work with us on minor changes usually at no extra charge. . Most of his homes were 1st & 2nd time homes but occasionally built houses upwards of a $1,000,000. If he is still building, you cannot go wrong with this fine gentleman!
