    Kitchen Remodel, Floor Refinish,
    $17,000

Within the first few days of hiring Mr. Ormsby, I disclosed my dissatisfaction of his job to him to due to his apparent lack of skills in the field that he claimed to be the professional. He appeared to have observed this inadequacy himself and offered to give me a new contract with a new price. I have yet to receive a new contract from him.

He subsequently stated that he had a team of sub-contractors that would work collaboratively with him to complete the project. For the duration of the miserable job that he did so far, Mr. Ormsby did not bring any team to my property. Him and another associate whom I believed to be his uncle, are the only ones who came to my property to work.

This prompted me to further scrutinize his State of New Jersey license, which I later observed that he is not even a licensed Electrician and/or Plumber contrary to what he listed in his business listed card, which stipulates that he does "Electrical installation and repairs” and “Plumbing installation and repairs”. Again, this is a deceptive misrepresentation of his skillsets. Mr. Omar Ormsby is clearly not a licensed electrician or plumber based on how he was performing the job. However, he continued to state that he was capable of doing the work of an electrician and/or plumber even though he was never licensed to do these jobs and clearly demonstrated that he was incapable of doing them and then failed to employ the services of any plumber or electrician to assist him during the 8 days he worked in my property.

The total estimated cost of the job we initially agreed upon was $16,375.80. I paid him a deposit of $8,187.90. D.N.B. Contractor United LLC started the job on May 28th, 2021. On June 8, I was forced to terminate the contract and the miserable services D.N.B was doing to my property. That supposedly Wood Finish was not done well -- which resulted in damages to the wooden floor itself (with visible new scratches) & Improper Paint Finishing; the kitchen was painted grey and I was told that it was a paint primer.

He further stated that the remodeling was supposed to be done in 2 weeks, but he spent the first 8 business days just doing demolition of the kitchen, garbage disposal, and floor refinishing (which he did not finish and done incorrectly). After terminating his services, he is now stating that the work done to my property is worth the $8,187.90 deposit given to him.

Additionally, Mr. Omar Ormsby was also observed by my husband smoking marijuana in my property in the company of his associate.

After I terminated his services, Mr. Omar Ormsby, stated that he would send me a bill of the ‘work’ that he claimed to have done in my property. He never sent me anything.

Finally, I want to clearly let it be known that I am disappointed and unsatisfied with the so-called work but more importantly, with the damage done to my property by D.N.B. Contractor United, LLC (owned by Mr. Ormsby)
