I have had a very similar experience as the user Carole! And not only did Lonnie's guys do a sloppy job in my hallway and upstairs, when Lonnie came by when the job was done (if you want to call it that) to ask for money for the job, I told him I needed a detailed invoice breaking down all the work. That is when I got the surprise of Lonnie asking for/charging way more than what he had quoted me and told me verbally. And Lonnie himself gave me the guarantee that if I was not pleased 100 percent with ALL the work that I did not have to pay him a single penny for any and all work and he would walk away from it all no hard feelings. And to top it off Lonnie has not still to this day come back to fix some of the really bad painting areas. the bad part for me is that I have already paid Lonnie Pirkle Painting Service LLC about 90 percent of the invoice, bad mistake on my part!! I should have made them fix everything first. He seemed to be such a nice, honest business person. I was certainly duped!!

Very disappointed in this work. Hired him to paint all ceilings in our house (excluding baths that we had just completely renovated). Paint splattered on all the walls/pictures, etc.as well as crown and dental moldings (that were a different color) AND painted the bathroom ceiling that they were specifically told NOT to paint. My husband had to repaint all of the crown and dental moldings. They also installed 2 lighting fixtures - one in a high stairwell. They completely distroyed the walls while hanging the stairwell fixture, and pretty much destroyed the actual light fixture by cutting and splicing the wire (hangs on long chain) and semi-wrapping with black electrical tape they left dangling. We had planned to hire Lonnine to install hardwood floors - since he talks such a good game - so when he came by to discuss that, we showed him the walls in the stairwell - not in a complaining, confrontational way - we just wanted him to be aware of what his guys were doing. He acted mad (at his team), assured us he didn't do that kind of work and would be back to repair that wall and light fixture as well as give us the quote on the hardwood floors. We waited a week, then I called him to follow up. He said his mother had been sick but that he would call me the next day with a quote. Waited another week - called him again. He said he had been sick, but assured me he would get back to me I called him again and left a message.....haven't hear another word from him. That was in September/October. We have since had our hardwood floors installed (a very pleasant experience) by someone else. Our stairwell wall is still a mess. We don't have the equipment (ladders, etc.) to repair the wall ourselves and my husband isn't supposed to climb anyway. We were really disappointed in our dealings with Lonnie. He seemed to be such a nice, earnest "good ole boy." We were certainly duped. Would not recommend him to anyone! Would have reported him to the Better Business Bureau, but apparently he is not a member! Lesson learned. BTW - I wouldn't give him any stars, but couldn't submit without checking a star!!

I would definitely not recommend him to others. He painted a bathroom for us and did not use the proper procedures to do it right. His painter painted over wallpaper glue they left on the walls after removing the paper. Needless to say, the paint is coming off all over the room! Pirkle came back and looked at the work after I called him, scraped paint off the walls with his fingernails, AGREED it was his error, told me a time he would come back and do it right, then never returned! I now have to pay someone to come back and do it right! It will cost even more because he has already painted over the glue leaving us more work than when we started! So unethical! No one should have to pay to paint a room TWICE!
