Owner
Tried to sell unrelated work, submitted a proposal exceeding the initial estimate, and provided samples beyond specifications to up-sell. Raised the price saying essential items were not included in the estimate. The company only had enough materials to do portions of work at a time, and tried to change agreed upon work days. Once paid, was disrespectful, did not show up for an appointment, and ultimately abandoned the project. He boasted about big jobs but didn’t have the skill or professionalism to complete my small job, and did not keep his word once paid.
For the final installation, brought severely flawed kitchen cabinet doors, and uninstalled glass. Was pressured me for money. After paying 80 percent, I realized that the doors had to be returned to the shop to be properly repaired. On the day that the re-installation was scheduled - and only when I contacted the company three hours after the appointment time - did I learned that the doors weren’t done. They did come for the re-installation, the paint still looked like a junior high school shop project and there was new damage. The owner said he would touch-up the paint; but instead, he hung the doors (unevenly; and didn’t adjust the hinges so they don’t close properly) and walked out without doing any touch-ups. He refused to leave the paint he supposedly had with him. The doors have to be completely redone by a professional painter.
