Started out well. Ended up poor. Not a detailed oriented contractor. When he came out to look over property I told him I wanted the top layer of dirt removed from front lawn and new top soil. All he did was take out dead crab grass. There were many tuber and bulbous “weeds” that I didn’t want to come back. Well they came back with a vengeance. Was supposed to have level grading, sod back yard and seed front yard. No prep for seeding. Used VERY pebbles dirt. Spread large area of seed with a drop spreader and covered with straw. Seed and straw blew away. I’m left with a lawn full of weed and open patches. I was expecting 6 foot cypress trees and he planted 3 foot ones. My sod in rear yard is mushy in the area that was being “graded and leveled”. It obviously isn’t. Every time I communicated with him he said “this won’t my first rodeo” let me just finish and you’ll see. I tried so many times to have him do the job correctly but he just did what he wanted. He also didn’t communicate to the irrigation installer that trees were going in and a shed was too. The extra lines behind the shed were taken care of but not out front at the trees and the area from them to the street line. I have to go out with a hose. I can go on but it’s just too much. He obviously doesn’t know how to grade and prep property for seeding. Oh, his final text to me was “ Listen I’m way too busy to come there n pull weeds every time a weed pops up if I would knew what I know now I would charged you a lot more the proper way for weed control is to have it sprayed there nothing I can do to prevent weeds from growing call green thumb and have a nice holiday”. This was copied from his reply to me about what he was going to do fix my lawn.
