LP uses deceptive business practices, charges an arm and a leg, and does not guarantee their work.
I received an initial comprehensive quote from LP for approximately $25K and they ended up tacking on more than 20% in additional "materials" charges even though the "Materials-Allowance" column on the estimate was completely blank. There was no fine print on the estimate saying that there could be additional charges, and I'm not talking about a few hundred dollars -- I was charged an unexpected $8,000 in additional fees. Moreover, when I checked the final invoice carefully, LP had included $2,500 in erroneous charges that were not related to my remodel.
On top of all that, soon after they finished the renovation, the new tenant reported that neither the hot water heater nor the microwave was working. When the property management company contacted LP, they shirked responsibility and said it's not their problem. I also wrote to my contact there to inquire about these issues and they did not respond to me.
There are numerous skilled construction companies in the Orlando area -- choose another one and do not use LP. If you do, be prepared for hidden costs, below-standard quality, and no willingness to fix their own problems.
