  Lucky construction did my basement. The price is fair and they did a very good job. I highly recommended this company to others.

  Breaking promises, rip-offs, and price increases. In March 2021, I contracted the rest of the previous builder's project, set the price, and when I signed the agreement, Simon patted my chest, promised to be responsible to the end, and the project was handed over in three months. Once the project started, almost every item, roof, exterior wall, structure, and window had to be charged separately. The quality of workmanship is poor, accidents consistently happen, but he keep on blaming on the predecessor, asking for more money. The day before the final inspection, without the consent of the owner, he build two-stage cement , saying that was required by the inspector. It was so ugly that he ask 3,000 dollar. Afterwards, the owner had to find someone to destroy it and redo it.

  Bad communication and Bad quality.

  Lucky failed three inspections (structure, electricity and water) at least once for each, which substantially extended the duration of the project (approximately 1.5 months longer at least). It has been 4 months since they started and the project is still ongoing.

  Their workers do not speak English. The managers/owners have never been at the site to communicate and are slow on response by texts and often ignore texts.

  Lucky added a new window in our attic, but failed to center the window in the middle of the wall. There is a pipe outside that wall. Without consulting with us for possible solutions, Lucky opened a window in the corner of the wall directly and left no room for light installation on one side. Lucky was fully aware that I wanted two lights on each side of a centered window (I verbally asked for two lights and then sent example pictures with centered window and symmetric lights on both sides of the window.) When confronted, Lucky refused to modify the window and stated the contract did not specify where the window needed to be.

  There were many other examples: Lucky drilled the beams for water and sewage without beam enforcement and failed the structure inspection. Lucky did not center the kitchen sink light and bath vanity light.

  They never tell you the job schedule and come and go as they please. They inform you last minute to open doors for the job site (like 11pm the day before).
