  Hail damage repair of roof and gutters

  Seemed like a good company to work with when we hired them (i did not hire or was ever notified of what subcontractor would be performing work though), but we had issues with both our roof and gutter installations. They did come fix some of the issues with the roof but not all. And the gutters, which pool water due to improper sloping, leak all around the house due to gutters not being installed behind the drip edge (and that was after just one light rainfall), have clips spaced 36"- 42" in most spots (standard should be 18"-24"), every section of gutters was cut too short and won't collect all the rain from our roof, globbed silicone in each corner and at every downspout connection resulting in a big drainage obstruction so water doesn't drain correctly, and placed an elbow to big for the location in a spot that has resulted in the shingles being bunched up.

  All of this has resulted in leaky spots all around the house, water pooling and not draining correctly, and potential issues with soffit, fascia, or our foundation in the future.

  Three individuals with the contractor company, one of which was the owner, came to meet with me and offered a solution of placing about 21 more clips into the gutter, but they weren't going to be putting in a new system or offering any kind of refund. Adding more clips doesnt fix the leaking, it doesn't fix the fact that the gutters are cut too short, it doesn't fix the bunched up shingle, it doesn't fix that no skirting was added to fill the gap between the gutter and the drip edge, and it potentially doesn't even fix the slope issue that has resulted in pooling water. All it would do is add more holes into the brand new drip edge and fascia that was just installed! They also lied to me by stating they've used that gutter installer over 500 times, even though that gutter installer just created his business this past June. That would mean he has installed about 5 gutter systems per day, 7 days a week, for the past 4 months.

  They said they were definitely not paying to have a new gutter system installed (even though it was their mess up), and there would be no refund of any kind. I would steer clear of this company because they don't stand behind their work or their subcontractors work.
