M Bell Building Contractor

Mike Bell has become untrustworthy, irresponsible, and the quality of his work has deteriorated over the years. Though this site indicates he has only been in business 4 years, he has been a contractor for much longer. Just like other complaintants on this site, he also swindled me out of money as well. He did not keep his promise to return it to me. I wanted a portion of my money returned because he was taking too long to complete the job, and what he had done was not the quality work he use to do. I do not recommend Mr. Bell as a contractor and I am processing my complaint through the court.

Mr. Bell lied and said he was insured, but never produced a valid license, would always show up to be paid but did very little work. I lost money hiring him as a friend of his from HUTCHINSON recommended him knowing he was a fraud. He was disorganized and should be prosecuted for fraud. Project was supposed to take 6 weeks but after 6 months I fired him.

M Bell Building Contractor is a fraud and preys on honest hardworking and trusting people. I contracted the company to repair my roof around the drain, install new drain pipes, and fix interior beam in back bed room. The roof leak after first rain event. Returned but only gave lip service. Did not attempt to fix leak. I gave the contractor $775.00 deposit. This was a big mistake. Ninety days passed I demanded my money back and received a little over half back. He tried to take advantage of me, as my wife was deadly ill . I characterize him as a bum. BEWARE!

This man is a thief! He takes down payments and never comes to complete a job. Every time you contact him it is always some sort of story on why the job isn't completed. He says either he is coming and don't show up or he is waiting on some part. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS MAN for any contracting services! This individual needs to have his license revoked and needs to be held accountable and pay back very dime that he took from people who trusted him to do a job that he clearly had no intentions of completing. Please Beware Of This Phony Contractor!

M Bell was a referral from my Dad. Mike Bell took a deposit 0f $1800 since April 27th 2012 upon this date he never perform any work. A week after he gave me the invoice he said he order the steel beam a structural part. Three weeks when by his excuse was the rain. Now Six weeks pass no work ! Call him numerous times no answer I decided to text him he replied I’ll call you back later. When he finally called he said give him two weeks to finish the job. I never wanted to give him the job in the first place I trusted this gentleman in return he started lying to me. Mid July told him to meet me by the property to review contract we agreed, on my way to the property on the with him he confess to me that he sub-contract the job twice, the sub-contractors who never showed up to do the work. Now I am chasing him around to get my deposit back. PLEASE DONOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH HIM !!!!!!!! THEFT !!!

Mr. Mike Bell was contracted to perform a home modification on my West Philadelphia home on December 29, 2011. He requested a down payment of $2,000, which he cashed that same day at a local bank. Since he received and cashed my check, he has not perfomed any of the work he was contracted to execute. After six weeks of non performance of the project, I requested my money be returned and the cost to repair to the fence around my home and my neighbors home that was removed by him to do this project. He also promised to return my money as well as the fence. However, as of April 16, 2012 he now reuses to answer any of my calls. Mr. Bell is a very dishonest contractor and I would boldly petiton anyone who considers using his services, not to give him any money up front. He was recommended by an aquantaince and he too refuses to return my calls. Do not trust Mr. Bell, he has swindled me out of my money and I would NOT recommend him to anyone! M. Davis
