We thought we were getting a good deal when he was able to get an air conditioner in weeks prior to any others in the area in the middle of June. That should have been a red flag that he didn't have enough work to be someone worth hiring. He started off very late without any calls or heads up that he would be. Didn't bring all his tools so he had to leave and come back. And to top it off he is charging us $200 more than the estimate we were given by phone. He has not once called us back and will only reply via text message. When we questioned the amount, we got the reply that if we don't pay he will take us to court or put a lien on our house. Worst customer relations I've ever seen. Wish I would have seen the reviews on other sites before hiring. This guy doesn't deserve work from anyone in the future.

Matt, the Owner, is very unprofessional. He was over 2 hours late to the scheduled appointment to install an A/C unit. After he was there an hour, he had to leave to get the actual A/C unit, which he was gone over 45 mins. We were billed later for more than the agreed upon price. Now he will not discuss the matter and threaten us with a lien if we do not pay.
The only reason we hired him was because our contractor used them for our forced heat system originally installed in the house in 2016. We had met him one time prior because our heater stopped working (within 1 year warranty period) which he was also late.
Never read reviews but I regret hiring this company. I haven't seen one good comment on them.

This contractor is not deserving of even the 1 star, but that was the least I could give him. Our general contractor hired these people and they were not worth what we were charged for their work. This was new construction with a blank slate, and their work "XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXed".
The furnace duct work looks like a inexperienced rookie did it and has significant leaks at nearly every joint, some of the flow control dampers are not accessible (not visible, turned up/hidden), but the major problem we have is that the system is not designed to provide both supply and return to all areas. As a combined area, the laundry, the kitchen entry mud room, the kitchen, the dining, the living room, the foyer, the hall to the bedrooms, and the bath #2 have 9 (nine) supply ducts but only 3 (three) returns, one of which is shared with a return from a bedroom. You can only effectively heat, or cool, the house uniformly if all the interior doors are left open which provides NO privacy for the bedrooms, and you cannot close the laundry off for too long for fear of freezing the plumbing in the exterior wall during winter months, thanks to these people and their "cheap" installation.
The air exchange unit (ERV) has instructions next to a collar to mount a duct onto in English, in Spanish, and a picture showing not to use screws to attach ducts to this one particular collar because screws might restrict proper operation of a damper located at the end.
The manufacturers instructions with the AC unit caution not to place the exterior unit within 3 feet of a direct vent exhaust because of possible corrosion, but they set it under an exhaust.
The exhaust they put in for the dryer vent ("That's the way we do it!") had to be moved to comply with our dryer location. NOTE: nearly all dryer doors are reversible, but front loader washers, except for high end like Electrolux, are NOT reversible.
We caught them before it was finished, but the duct work for the range hood had to be relocated because they missed one of the cabinets on the blueprint when figuring where it was to go.
And I met one of the employees, a family member, helping himself to some top soil without having asked. Even if it was only a couple buckets of dirt, having done so without asking is not what I view as an acceptable business practice.

Very helpful and thorough. Reasonable prices. Have used many contractors over the years and Ron of MR Heat has been one of my favorites. Great contractor overall!
