    2 car garage with micro apartment
    $75,000

    We signed a contract with M&T Allison Construction on November 6, 2016, for a two car garage with a micro apartment. They were supposed to begin demo on November 23, but they didn't start until December 21. They didn't contact us to explain why. Then they didn't come back until January and they didn't actually start building until March. We were guaranteed that this project would be done by the middle of January 2017. It is June 30, and they still have to complete the apartment; they framed it last week and did electric this past Tuesday. We haven't seen them since and don't expect to see them until after the 4th of July holiday.

    Sherrie, the owner, chose our flooring, shower, toilet, and bathroom vanity without our input. I told her that we had to choose the floor and she informed us that she had already bought everything at an auction. What sort of contractor chooses accessories for a client's apartment?

    We have never seen a written invoice, although we have asked for one. Communication is terrible. We are surprised when the crew shows up and don't expect them.

    They dumped concrete in our yard, haven't cleaned up unused pipes and pallets, and seem to be completely unconcerned that they are six months late completing this project. They were the high bid, but we chose them because they (orally) guaranteed that it was a simple project that would be done in six weeks. We haven't seen them for a total of six weeks in the eight months they've been "working" on our project.

    I would not recommend M&T Allison Construction and would strongly suggest that anyone looking for a contractor choose someone else.

    M&T did a great job rebuilding our back porch. They worked with us to ensure we were satisfied and pleased with the end result. We hiighly recommend M&T and would use them again in the future for other home improvement projects.

    The folks at M&T are professionals. They worked with me every step of the way to address my concerns and ensure that I was satisfied with the results. The workers were pleasant, answered all of my questions happily, worked efficiently and left my yard spotless. I would be happy to recommend M&T Allison Construction to anybody...based on prior experiences both my own and of friends and family, they are quite possibly the best in the whole New Castle Area!
