Solid lead on the team, my project was dealt with on time and arrived under-budget at the wrap of the project. Sean had really good insight and input, his crew worked their butts off nonstop and did an incredible job ahead of schedule; it was way beyond our expectations.
We didn't have a big budget to work with but they did a wonderful job doing so much with our very small budget ($180,000). It looked like we'd spent $1,000,000. Very impressed. Thank you!!! Mahalo Fo Sho! Life-long customer; thank you. -Peter

There are many professional, competent contractors in Kailua and Honolulu. Mac builders is not one of them. They were hired to do a home remodel for us, which ended with our needing to hire a new contractor and a lawyer. The carpenters on his crew did not know what they were doing, and much of the work that was done needed to be redone. If he can get to your job quickly, there is a reason for that. Please save yourself the headache and hire one of the more reputable contractors in Honolulu. We wish we had waited and went with a bigger company.

Mac Builders was hired and given very detailed, engineered plans to install a water line. Shawn deviated from the plan, didn't ask permission, didn't tell anyone and installed the line well inside the next door neighbors property line (vacant lot) and no where near where the plans called out. Of course the neighbor insisted it be corrected once we all found out what they had done. Shawn initially said he would fix it - in 6 months! After patiently waiting those 6 months, he then refused to take any corrective action. The level of incompetence is absurd. The lack of accountability appalling. We ended up having to hire a new contractor to fix his ridiculous negligence.
