Called him to check out why our heat wasn't working he found it was just the thermostat. He didn't have the part but wanted me to write him a $185 check WITHOUT him even fixing the problem. I of course said no, be said he'd be back in two days and never even bothered to call or come back. Not very professional at all and my husband ended up fixing it. Also tried to bill me $35 for mileage but he is literally like 1 mile from my home.

Awesome, he came into my home, analyzed & fixed our heater within 1/2 hour, this company is like the whisperer of heaters. He was recommended to me by a friend who had the same experience with their heater

NH's comment is wrong. Customer called Macgyver Mechanical and was quoted $130 for diagnosis/service charge. Customer agreed. Macgyver Mechanical spent an hour and put a relay in the outside furnace unit. Also found the thermostat was shorted due to incorrect wiring. MM fixed the wiring and let customer know he would be ordering a new thermostat and be back in 2 days to install. Customer agreed. When part arrived, 2 days later, MM called customer to install and was informed customer already replaced it himself. A few days later MM left an invoice for diagnosis and work performed at customers door after unanswered phone calls. The customer ignored the bill and instead chose to write their comment. They never paid a penny!!
The $35 charge was not for mileage alone, it was a reduced standard service/truck charge which is normally $75.
