    My experience with this company and it's owner. We chose this company to do our remodels on our home early last year. This company did 2 small projects from start to finish without issues and in a very timely manner. We proceeded into the 3rd project which was larger than the 1st two (this one involved concrete patio extension, siding replacement up to 6 ft on backside of home, post removal and cedar post replacement, wood rot replacement, 4 window replacements, exterior whole house paintrd, and a private balcony from 2nd story master built on) and required quite the deposit of $11,000 for a $16,xxx project which I paid without issue. Everything was moving fine in the project until we hit the permitting stage for the private balcony addition. I understand waiting on the city for things takes time so for 6 months our project was halted and over these 6 months I periodically checked in with owner of this company to see what status was. His 1st and main excuse for this delay was verbatim "the city keeps denying the plans because the measurements"... measurements I spent $400 outside of his invoice to have done by his person he uses. So as the months went by, this is the excuse he is giving me and that he "had to pay extra to redraw these plans" so the city would accept plans. After this 6 months, I decide to call city myself to find out whats going on. City of Fort Worth informs me NOTHING has been applied for my address. I then call the owner of this company to inform him of the knowledge I received and that I am quite peturbed at the fact. He gives me the newer excuse for delay verbatim " I did submit them but I put 6807 not 6708 as the street address" which how can plans be denied for a non existant address? he then begs to give him until Feb 27th to allow him to obtain the permitting. I give him the benefit of the doubt and agree to give him til the 27th. On the morning of Feb 27th, I ask him for an update and he says "will know something by end of day" days go by and no response from him. I call city again and come to find out STILL nothing has been inquired about on my property nor the "wrong address" he claims to have written down. That department logs everything that comes into their office. Only after having to get my attorney involved did he start responding back. This time with the excuses that "his business insurance expired" thats why he couldnt get the permit still and later that he has been "working on a $40 million project" and that he didnt have time for me but still wanting to keep my money and 'finish' project. He wanted to back burner us after taking payment already. At this point, I decide to fire this company for their incompetance and want the difference in what work has been done and what I've paid refunded. After constant reminding, he finally sends me an email with the invoice I had been requesting for the entire $16,xxx project, so we can see what I am owed back. In this email, he also asks us one last time to let him finish this project. Of course, in light of how he had been treating this situation of getting caught in his lies and that he wasn't insured, I declined. I agreed to take my refund and be on my way as he did too. After this, he has been vague in communicating, I HAVE STILL YET TO RECEIVE MY REFUND OF JUST UNDER $4,000, and also threatened to sue me for defamation if I shared my story about how his company treats their clients. This is my honest and accurate testimonial with the documentation proving things said and done (or not done I should say)
