We had Carlos from Magic Tile and Design work on our bathrooms. The first time he came he did a good job. He was onsite and did the work himself with a helper. We called him back for work on our other 2 bathrooms expecting the same quality of work with him onsite doing the work himself. He sent workers who didn't speak english to do his work without discussing this with us before hand. The workers he sent didn't have the skills he had so the work was not up to our expectations. We discussed this with him extensively and required him to be onsite. He still had his helper there who wasn't able to measure and lay tile in a consistent way. Carlos said he would complete our job to our satisfaction. We regret paying him the full amount before we had a chance to look over the project. He was in a hurry to get paid due to going out of town with his family the next day. He assured us he would come back if necessary. It was just grouted so we didn't have a chance to get into the showers to view the large amount of clean up and corrections we needed to address. He first said he would come out to do this pick up work but then no showed and refused to answer our calls. DO NOT HIRE. IF YOU DO DECIDE TO HIRE, HOLD BACK THE FINAL PAYMENT UNTIL YOU ARE 100% SATISFIED DESPITE HIS ASSURANCE HE WILL RETURN IF NECESSARY. HE WILL RUSH YOU TO PAY BEFORE YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO INSPECT. We incurred another $1500 in costs fixing what he left us with.
