10 X 14 addition w/ windows / sliding glass doors and chimney for woodstove

if I could choose NO stars, I would

I hired them for an easy 10x14 addition with a flat roof and a chimney for a woodstove.

They damaged my house horribly, cut into a brand new roof causing $$$$ damage also causing a massive flood w/ more damage

for an entire night and day, i had buckets, pots, pans, totes , glass bottles....collecting water and had to constantly
dump them all throughout the night...in addition to this, i was " sweeping " gallons of water out of my utility room with a broom
into the unfinished addition to try and save as much of my utility room as i could.

in the pouring rain, i had to go outside to the fusebox and turn off the breakers to my water heater, washer/dryer and the utility room
because the flood was so bad. There was standing water int h e room for many hours no matter how fast I bailed. Of course, this means most
of this was accomplished without light on in the room.

The cement crew left piles of clay dirt around the slab, causing flooding to my driveway, i had to dig a trench to divert the water...

The slab failed inspection 3 times

They dug too deep on the other side, causing a flood just outside the door which will now require a french drain to correct.

They left their entire pile of garbage, building materials and what they tore down... including the crews lunch containers and soda/water bottles in a pile right in the middle of a walking area

They did a totally wrecked job on what was supposed to be a flat roof which instead, they took off about 3' of a brand-new 30yr roof....voiding the warranty

They then shingled the sloped roof that didn't rise the proper amount and, now it is going to require a rip-off and a metal roof.
This roof currently leaks during a heavy rain. it is causing damage to my kitchen and utility room roof.( as well as the unfinished addition )

There is already water damage from the low slope of the roof and the lack of gutters on the addition, the water runs directly off the roof into the 2 windows and drips / runs down the wall

They put one of the sliding glass doors in upside down ( NoT backwards..UP SIDE DOWN ) because of this, it is unable to be properly secured by a sliding glass door security bar.

They placed the roof rafters in such a way that there is only 13" between each one, which means the chimney kit will not fit unless rafters are moved.

They cut such a large piece of sheetrock out of the wall in my utility room to install the sliding glass door that there is now an
open gap which is 12" X 6', exposed to the unheated, unsoffeted addition. I have had to staple a double layer of plactic over this
and put a space heater in the utility room on cold nights.

They made a mistake when they purchased the windows and one didn't fit... they had to place them differently than we aggreed upon

They were supposed to relocate my solid entry door to the outside wall as well, but there is no longer any room for it with the changed placement of the windows.

They were unaware that the room would require heat so, when it failed inspection, they had an HVAC crew come and nail a 2' piece of 220 baseboard to the bare studs ( there is no sheetrock yet )

They left it like that...just nailed to the studs, there is no wire run to it. The HVAC crew was also supposed to install the chimney kit ( which I PURCHASED ) and the chimnay pipe ( which I also purchased )
because it won't fit between the rafters.

left a half-assed, half-finished job and changed their phone number many times. They failed numerous inspections.

Never any updates. Weeks and months would go by and i would never hear from them.

I've sent emails that went unanswered.

I've called many times only to find out that the number will not accept voicemail or... has been changed or disconnected.
I then had to wait until he chose to call me... and record the new number... he never offered it.

His project manager said they would install the french drain, fix the utility room, fix the roof, fix any damage and that
I would love it when it was finished.

His project manager was at least trying to make up for what was going wrong with the job but then.....suddenly, the guy
" no longer works for our company "

There are no ( and never were ) copies of my permits on site. I am unaware of their status or when they expire.

Evidently it may not even be worth taking this to court if he is doing this on more than one of his jobs.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY !!!!

    Thumbtack
    $22,500

I hired this company and signed a contract for this company to build a screened in porch on already poured concrete in July 2021. In addition to installling lanscape rock outside of the pation. I paid for a total of 2/3rds of the project in two installments. It took months for the work to begin. In September the frame was built, the roofing and electrical installed and the framing for the screen began. During this process, Mr. Myers would disappear and not answer phones or give a date when the project would be completed.. My last contact with him was on 10/15l2021, after I sent him a message on 10/11/21 telling him he had two weeks to complete my project. He claimed his guys would be here to screen in the
porch in a few days. The subcontractor did appear, however all work ceased on 10/27/21 when the subcontractor informed me Mr Myers claimed his checkbook was stolen and all his money taken from his account as well as some other lame story I will not mention here. Mr. Myers did not pay the roofer nor did he pay the contractor who did the screening. He never contacted me. I am out of over $14,000 and my project is not complete. I believe Mr Myers to be a con artist, shyster and theft. I by no means recommend this guy and DO NOT HIRE him.
