Steve Maletos is a fraud and a liar. I bought a 3 years old house from Maletos built by Maletos in 2010. Less than 4 weeks later it begun to leak. Steve did not fulfill his responsibilities to repair. A year later it was fixed at the expense of insurance company. The total bill came to nearly 100,00. The new contractor appointed by the insurance company to make the rapiers contacted subcontractors that had been employed by Maletos at the project. It turned out that
1) The leaks had been in the house for 2 years, Maletos had known about them; he made some cosmetic repairs before the sale.
2) He directed roofing and fiber-glass subcontractors to violate the best practices despite their warning that the roof will be leaking.
3) At the end he didn’t pay them
4) He lied to me about “house never having had a single leak”
5) He didn’t fulfill his obligations stated in the insurance policy
6) The insurance company picked up almost 100,000 tab a year later; the insurance company is now recovering the funds from Maletos.
