Maliblue Pools

Flynn Whitehurst is the owner of Maliblue Pools. Although this was our first inground pool construction, something told me his company's building practices left much to be desired. Main issue for me is that his company would never purchase the correct PVC components to plumb the pool correctly. Instead of purchasing the correct bends and elbows his team need to plumb the pool, Flynn had them use a propane torch and heat a straight piece of PVC and bend it to fit their needs. This severely lessened the structural integrity of the PVC, introducing numerous failure points throughout the entire pool structure. When he was called to check out a severe crack in my Spa, he kept putting me off, while all the time committing to come repair the crack. After being continually put off for 8 months, he refused to answer any of my calls. I finally had to get another contractor to do the work. I would not trust or recommend Flynn Whitehurst or Maliblue Pools for any type of construction ever again. I would be extremely wary of this contractor and any company he may be affiliated with. His construction practices and lack of customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

Flynn Whitehurst built our pool less than one year ago. He removed the coping of that pool two weeks ago because it was crumbling into the pool and damaging the pool interior. He also drained the pool for repairs. Now he is refusing to honor the warranty on our pool. Currently it has no coping, the interior of the pool is damaged, and it is not operational. I have asked for bids from other contractors to fix the pool, and the estimates are in excess of $5,000. Mr. Whitehurst was paid in full for this pool in July of last year when the coping issues were already apparent. For almost a year he has promised to fulfill his warranty and fix our pool. Now his crew has demo'd our pool, and he is refusing to fix it until we pay him additional money. I would be very wary of this contractor. I can provide pictures of the issues with the pool, and I have video of Flynn demo'ing the pool two weeks ago.
