  John (Papon) Manginelli Pools told us our main drain was broken and had to replace it. He said he had to remove liner which was leaking. He destroyed pavers to get to the line, which wasn't there. He said he needed money to get liner and main drain, we gave him $400 in increments. Then he would bring a bag of who knows what for pool. Overall he scammed us out of $1300,You would have to constantly call him. Then cried because his grandfather had died, and now he would have to work. He said he was depressed and would finish job soon, which never happened. Then. later found out he was using money for drugs. Went to his house to make sure he was alright because he wasn't answering calls .Knocked at his door, saw him inside he tried to act like he didn't see me, and tried to sneak out back door. Again he lied. I'm sorry I didn't Google him it has been a nightmare. I had to hire someone else to do work because of the condition pool and pavers was left. This was done in 2012-2013.

  HIS ABUSE OF THE PUBLIC HAS TO STOP . HE SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS.
  I WILL BE TAKING HIM TO COURT FOR WHAT HE DID TO ME THIS LAST SUMMER . TOO BAD DIDN'T GOOGLE HIM , AND READ ALL YOUR CORRECT COMMENTS . YES HIS PRICE IS LOWER - THAT'S HOW HE GETS YOU . BECAUSE HE OPENED AND CLOSED MY POOL LAST YEAR SO DECIDED TO ORDER LINER THROUGH HIM . THAT'S WHERE TROUBLE STARTED . HE TOOK HOME MY FILTER TO CLEAN IT , NEVER RETURNED TOP . HOW COULD I RUN MY POOL WITHOUT TOP OF FILTER? DAMAGED MY SKIMMER LINE WHEN HE PUT PVC PIPE INSIDE TO DRAIN MY POOL.- COST $1000.00 REMOVE PAVERS , REPLACE PIPING. STOLE MY POOL BRUSH - WHAT KIND OF A LOWLIFE DOES THAT?? , BROKE TWO RAKES IN MY SHED, BROKE POOL NET . TOP IT OFF , TOOK $400. DEPOSIT TOWARDS MY LINER, THAT IS FAMILIAR NUMBER HE ASKS FOR. ALSO HE WANTED ME TO GIVE HIM ANOTHER 400, THAT'S WHEN LIGHTBULB WHEN ON . I SAID ORDER ME MY LINER FIRST. NEVER GOT MEASUREMENTS IN TO ORDER , NEVER RETURNED MONEY. TO TOP IT OFF , GOT LOOPLOC POOL COVER FROM HIM , WHICH I DIDN'T NEED RIGHT AWAY , BUT HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING - GOT WRONG SIZE - ASSURED ME IT WAS CUSTOM , WOULDN'T TAKE OUT OF BOX TO CHECK FITTING- SAID WOULD CHECK LATER , I HAD PAID HIM IN FULL PRIOR . NOW I HAVE A COVERI CAN'T RETURN - COST $1800, WILL HAVE TO TRY AND SELL ON E- BAY , CAUSE LOOPLOC OR DISTRIBUTOR - WON'T HELP ME . THAT"S WHY COURT IS ONLY SOLUTION- IF HE SHOWS. WHAT A HORRIBLE SUMMER HE CAUSED ME AND MY FAMILY . USED POOL MAYBE 3 TIMES , WAS HOTTEST SUMMER TOO! HE HAS NO CONSCIOUS, EVEN AFTER I LEFT HIM MESSAGES, SENT HIM LETTER, AND TALKED TO HIM. .   never take any job from this scam bag... anything that comes out of his mouth you need to let him put it in writing. He's the biggest liar of all. He's suppose to replace my pool liner, got a downpayment towards ordering the liner... claims he did get the liner but can't install it 'coz he found that the main drain is broken & needs to replace it first. Paid for the main drain after putting it in but promised to comeback to finish it up plus patch the areas of the pool that needs to be done but never got to see him again... keep calling him, leaving messages... he never calls back. And when I found out where he lives, he's real drug induced psycho personality come out... cursing me out, I ended up calling the cops. Sure, it didn't really scare him but promised to call me after an hour which he did but of course made B***S*** promises again plus claims he needs to order the liner (which he said he already have) & never hear from him. I just wonder why people like this can be left to scam hardworking people like us...   John Pabon (NOT "Manginelli"--that is his grandfather and I agree with the person above that he has sadly, totally disgraced his family's name). He is a LOSER!!!! and a CON ARTIST!!!! NEVER HIRE HIM!! He put pavers in my backyard and said over and over "they're guaranteed for life" He proudly said "....if they ever need replacing, we'll come back and fix them." LIES!!! It is less than 2 years later, the pavers are falling apart (literally falling into each other--little potholes all over my yard from shoddy work) and there's weeds growing all over my patio. His crew also destroyed a pipe that was under the dirt and I now have a little surprise sprinkler in the middle of my patio as well. "Guaranteed for life...." HA!! Save your money, your time and your sanity. DO NOT HIRE this company!!!

  HORRIBLE WORK! i would never recommend anyone to use this company! the owner is the biggest con artist i have ever met! he takes advantage of people who do not know any better! he messed up my yard, he promised me he would fix it but never came back! you can call and call and it wont matter he wont answer nor will he return your calls! it is very obvious to anyone who meets him that he is on drugs! everything that comes out of his mouth is a lie..i wouldnt even believe him if he said the sky was blue, id have to go to a window n look out to make sure it really was! worst work i ever had done, i had to spend more money to fix it and pay him for a job that he never completed than i would have if i hired the most expensive contractor i could find! ive also had friends/neighbors who have used him for pool openings which were a complete disaster! he has absolutely no idea what he is doing!

  He hit my truck last week on my block when i was coming home from work and promised he was going to order the mirror. Well i spoke to him on the phone and he said he would call me on thursday night to come over and give me the money, well he wont answer his phone or call anyone back. Im gonna find him trust me

  DONT USE THEM FOR ANY WORK. They did work by doing my fence but they did not finish it. John C. Pabon did not pay suppliers for the materials. Collected money that im almost paid for the entire work. Called many times but no answer to both office and cellphone. Dont use this contractor. I dont know why he still has a license to scum people of hardearned money.

  Manginelli is the worst contractor I have ever encountered. He did some work on my front steps that we were not satisfied with. the stones came lose and came out all together. He came by on several occassions to tell me that he would fix. and he never did. One day I spotted him at a neighbors house across the street. He came over like there was nothing wrong then promised he would be RIGHT BACK with replacement stones which he said he had already bought. I told him I would wait. he never came back. his new phone as of july 10, 2011. 732.773.0501.

  he changed the sand in my pool filter and since then the heater dont work.

  He sealed the pavers in the back only to have weeds grow out of them in a week. He never fixed this either.

  DON'T EVER USE THIS GUY. HE WILL COME BACK NEXT YEAR AND GIVE YOU HIS NEW OUTLOOK ON LIFE. DON'T BUY IT.

  i called him up they came gave me a estimate i gave him a check and he never showed up after that and i called him several times and left a message every time and never call me back i would never recamend him for any one

  This is the worst pool/landscaping company i have ever used my entire life. First of all you call and call and are promised so many things, but those things are never done! He comes in the beginning to collect yhour payment and start the job...if he even shows up! After that he never shows up again. He will promise you a million times he is going to come, but he will never show up! When you call back, you get an "im soo sorry" then another promised date, which you will wait for but the day when he actually shows up willnever come! i wouldnt even recommend this company to my worst enemy! yea he comes with a cheap price, because you will get cheap work!

  Never Ever EVER use them again. They show up to get your money ontime and that's about it. Last year I hired them to do some grading, and they talked me into a landscape as well. Horrible landscape job which I had to have someone else come and fix. Also they didn't do the grading. I called John several times to come back and add more dirt and never responded to any of my calls. They also broke my sprinkler lines in my back yark when they did some digging and they hid it under rocks. This year I called him to come back for my free pruning, and he has not showed up for any of the appointments.

  On another note my neighbor used them to open their pool last year he forgot to brin chemicals which I don't understand that one, if you promote that in your fliers and coupon books they advertise in. Also they didn't start the filter correctly and never came back to fix... Go Figure

  My wife and I hired Manginelli to open our pool and to do some landscaping.
  They did the landscaping job, charging us for materials they claimed to purchase, only to find out they not only never used the materials but they never bought them.
  Also, they were supposed to 'close' our pool. They one day just went out of business, the phone was disconnected and then they had the nerve to call me a few months later to solicit our business again.
  I would suggest NO ONE ever use this company.
