I had a very poor experience with Manzella Construction.
They did an extremely substandard job refinishing my floors. Ultimately, the pictures speak for themselves, but I'll provide additional info.

I hired Manzella Construction to redo my bathroom, paint, and refinish the old oak hardwood floors in my new house. While the bathroom and painting work was generally okay, the experience was stressful. I received a lot of pushback on agreed-upon decisions, changes and questions were not relayed to me, a faucet and drain were installed and not working properly and no one thought to tell me or fix it even though once I pointed it out they stated that they had noticed it, there was an extra $100 charge at the end that I was not previously informed of--plus a few other incidents throughout.
But the floors. The pricing was much higher than other companies, but I initially thought they'd do a good job. At the beginning, Carlo Manzella told me how great my floors would look and how well refinishing would work. We walked through the house and I pointed out some existing stains and concerns.
However, during the job when I realized NONE of the scratches or stains were diminished at all, and the floors hadn't been sanded down to bare wood, suddenly I was being told how my floors were so old and thin (apparently no one from Manzella actually checked them before sanding), my expectations were too high, and that I was only noticing the flaws because I didn't have furniture or rugs down. Wow.
They told me I was being "difficult." Carlo tried to brush off my concerns repeatedly with statements about how the floors were fine and they were sure I would be happy when I was moved in.
The end result is even worse. All prior scuffs and stains are still present--but now the floors are also rough, blotchy, discolored, have numerous white spots and streaks, and have an overall "dirty" quality that looks like dust but it's not. That's just how they look now.
(I did say that they looked worse now, and the response from Manzella was that they're not worse because they're clean now. Seriously? I could have cleaned them.)
They did some additional painting work in exchange for me handing over the final check and "overlooking the flaws in the floor." But I had to buy the paint and the job was clearly rushed to just get the check and get out.
Please look at these pictures before hiring this company to see what they deem acceptable work.
