We called many contractors and no one even returns calls. Maragulia Construction called us back the same week. We just had a bathroom completely gutted and remodeled with Maragulia Construction. Work was very professional and done on time. Looking forward to working with them on the next project.

By DeannaAugust 31, 2022Drywall repair, new door, new window, install new blind$2,500Read more
This man is a con artist. Backstory: I had a stray bullet hit my house. My mother without first checking reviews on Nick and his business, hired him to fix the bullet holes that messed up our drywall, interior bedroom door, window, and blind. It looked like it was him and his teams first time ever attempting to fix literally anything in his life. It was like he watched a YouTube video of how to do something before he came to do the job. Every single thing he did, it was done incorrectly. The spackling job he did to fill in the bullet hole, collapsed 3 days after he "fixed it". The paint over the spackling job didn't even match our current paint. He ordered a window that wasn't the correct measurements so he had to cut the wall a certain way to be able to fit it in. He installed the new blind incorrectly. He put it above the window instead of fitting it inside the window frame. The door he installed was covered in black dirt and that's how he left it. He also cut the doorway to better fit the door (why not just get a door that fit to begin with), and there was wood shavings left all over the carpet along with the glass from the shattered window. He charged my mother a cleaning fee but left everything all over the floor to get stepped on by either me, my mom, or my pets paws. When I called him up and told him about the mess he left, he said he didn't clean it up because there was cat hair and he couldn't tell...I'm sorry but you can see a clear difference between glass, wood and cat hair. He also started to get belligerent with me and started to fight with me over the phone. I also told him how the spackling job he did collapsed and he said he would fix it but then he ended up ghosting me and never returned. On top of everything he overcharged for everything. He charged $500 for a (dirty) door, that I looked up on home depo, and it was selling for $25. I literally could have done a better job myself, not having a clue what to do.

Terrible. Short cuts to a half ass job. Good workers but he sucks as a general contractor. He makes up conversations convincing you that he had discussed situations on how to fix problems. If you like to spend money on a job that looks like crap then hire him.

By AnonymousApril 20, 2020Porch roof, shingle house roof, small deck$15,000
BEWARE!!!! This Nick is all about the money!!! He begs and pleads like a little girl for extra draw funds, even though there is a contract, yet not MAN ENOUGH to stick to his word. If you want/need job done in a certain amount of time, be VERY CAUTIOUS with this contractor!!! Also, caught him in many lies, just like other review. Everything from job will be done in 3 day (it has been 4 weeks and 2 days and is a ghost now), to having materials shipped overnight (yet over 2 weeks later, still not having them), to framing roof one day (only to have it beautiful and sunny) and then didn't work anyway. He tells you what you want to hear to get job. Then everything after is AT HIS PACE!! On many occasions he stated they would work "the next day" only to not show. Had over $10,000 of our money and still wanted more, even though he only did about $3,000 worth of work. He would ask for extra money for supplies because supply place was closed Sundays, because that's when they would be "framing and needed shingles for Monday. Only to not do framing for days later and roof 2 weeks later. "Pieces" things together for shoddy looking work, rather than buy 10-12 foot pieces to have it looking nice, still waiting for minor final repairs after getting a leak after new roof. Said he'd be here Friday, it is now Sunday. So writing that up as a loss. The Only thing positive to say about this company is the Employees. Hats of to Don and Tom. They worked hard and were very polite!!

The overall work was very good. The two employees were super nice and very efficient. There were a few times we had to call to find out why they didnt show up (it was a 3-week project).
Be sure to get a full quote listing all work to be done and all prices. Especially important if any additional work is needed during your project. -

I'm sorry but I couldn't let this go once I saw this review. My husband and I live in the Nazareth area. We have built 2 new homes with Maragulia Construction plus they have done repairs at our rentals. We have used them since 2010. There has always been communication on their part and our part of the scope of work needing to be done. Nick's expertise and ideas have always been spectacular and have exceeded our expectations to make whichever project look GREAT!!

I had Maragulia Construction recommended to me by my neighbor who had a lot of work done inside their house before they moved in. I wanted a deck and some foundation work done along with a concrete patio. We were impressed with the time frame in which work was completed. I'm happy to support local family owned businesses'

By AnonymousMarch 31, 2015remodel$30250 daysScam artist contractor
Poor communication, doesn't return calls or messages, I caught him in several lies about when job would start, status, etc. Left job site before completion. Took my money promising to complete the job, then wouldn't return my calls and never returned to finish the job. Electric was left unfinished with bare wires exposed. Added charges on top of agreed upon contract, then tried to force me to pay or he wouldn't finish the work. Scam artist! Beware!

I consulted with Maragulia Construction for multiple estimates around the time the pandemic started. Unfortunately we had to wait some time as Nick let me know this business was only allowed to operate as Emergency Only. As soon as restrictions were lifted Nick got started on a few apartment buildings that needed all different renovations including bathroom remodels, electrical needs in several units, laundry room built and several kitchen upgrades. I am an ex-entrepreneur in the HVAC field. I understand that jobs take time, especially when there's employee shortages and delays on materials, and permits always take months. Nick let me know that he doesn't cut corners, which I appreciate. I have dealt with many contractors who just slap a bandage on problems without addressing the underlying issues causing the problems. I was satisfied with all the work. Nick does maintenance on all my properties to this day. Furthermore, My wife called Nick to install a brand new bathroom and workout space in my home. All work was completed above and beyond expectations. I am pleased with this relationship and will continue to hire Maragulia Construction. I am happy to have found this family business in my area.
