    Beware of this guy i m a friend and he burned me gave him 7500 he should up for 2 days came back a 3rd day asking for more money told him i would give it to him when job was completed havent seen him since then thats over 2 months now .DONT TRUST HIM DONT HIRE HIM HE WILL BURN YOU

    We contracted with Marc Gurrola Concrete on 11/24/19 for a large concrete project. He promised a start date of 12/5. He didn't start on that date nor did he contact us regarding a new start date. we contacted him and he said he would start on 12/12 or 12/13..again he didn't show up or contact us. He then showed up the 14th and dropped off material. He doesn't actually do any work, he sub contracts EVERYTHING out...his sub-contractors were actually good..they showed up on time and worked very hard. he showed up late on Monday, left for 5 hours on Tuesday and after promising he would show up at 7 am Wednesday to personally do some essential cutting work...he didn't show up until 10am and his sub-contractors basically pounded the cement away with hammers!! with much work still to do (removal of cement, laying the forms, substrate material, etc...he said the pour would be Friday...that was re-scheduled until Saturday because, of course, the prep work was not done!!..the pour happened on Saturday the 21st of December. AGAIN, his sub contractors worked well into the night. He did not calculate for enough concrete so left our front walk way un-done...he also did not have enough powder to finish the job...
    He did not pay his hard working sub-contactors who showed up at our house on Sunday and again on Tuesday (Christmas eve)..looking to get paid!!...he begged us for money which we stupidly gave him as he promised to be back on the 26th to finish...HE HAS NOT BEEN BACK..no finish work, no front walk way, no sealant...NOTHING...he basically took our money and ran....He also left a dump load of cement and dirt that we had to pay to dump...we will have to pay another contractor to finish and we are suing him for for the money we paid for a huge amount of work not being done
    he is a liar and will say ANYTHING to get your money...beware!!..he is also not bonded and will lie and say he is...

    redo asphalt driveway in cement
    $7,500

    I recently had my asphalt driveway removed and redone in cement by Gurrolo Concrete. After 2 bids to redo in asphalt, and being advised that concrete would be much more expensive, Gurrolo Concrete quoted a significantly lower bid for concrete. The work was performed as scheduled and the outcome was very satisfactory. They even did some tree trimming and installed a drain pipe at no additional cost. I paid 10% at start of work and the balance at completion

    I had a quote from Marc Gurrola initially and he asked me to pay all amount in front and do a money wire even I never met him before. I reminded him that by California law as a Customer I have to pay only 10% or 1000$ what ever is less. I offered him to meet in person and discuss exact amount of work he going to perform. He increased his price by 1100$ because instead 600sq feet need to do 650sq feet. He asked me 50% in front which I gave him the check a few days before he start working. He was constantly changing the day he will start, he will not answer my phone number or texts. Finally, he finished and asked me for 400$ more then contract price. He said he did a wrong estimate of the thickness of concrete. He yelled at me and was very rude. He didn't take all demolition after work was done and promised me do next day. Next day, he said he was busy and will do it next day. When I texted him 2 days later and asked when he will clean after his self, his answer was "stop texting me". Also, he didn't fix end of my drive way but charged for it and explained that is a city property and he is not allowed to touch.
    Overall, it was an extremely stressful experience and I will not recommend to deal with Marc Gurrola to any one unless you want to get stressed and pay much more money then you discussed initially.
