I heard about Marcus from my friend who used him in Wayne for an addition. We contacted him for a meeting regarding our add-on, and what a pleasure! He was honest, trustworthy, attention to detail, punctual, on budget, etc.. His subcontractors were just as trustworthy, and the whole experience was fabulous. We will use him again in the future. It was nice to have a contractor actually listen, hear, and understand what WE the client wanted, and not try to sell us "upgrades" when not necessary. We got what we expected, plus a little more.

I have used Marcus B. Barns, the owner of 7th Lake Carpentry for various projects in my home, particularly a custom built-in under my staircase, which I needed for literature and a second area for tv watching. We have a small home and wanted to utilize the space. His craftsmanship was superb! We were very pleased with not only his talent, but his honesty and communication. Many a contractor we have used before to no avail, either did not show up, did not return phone calls, didn't seem to care about the job OR us, but with Marcus it was not the case. Would recommend him to any family member or friend without hesitation.

So I got Marcus' name from a facebook contact. She recommended him as I guess he also does Residential DIY Consulting? We had a bathroom remodel we actually wannted to do ourselves, but had NO IDEA where/how to begin. He came into the project, guided us through with what materials to buy, what the process looks likes, time frame, etc.. and helped us with all the little issues that come up, which only a seasoned person would know.. like what is the difference between sanded grout and non? Who knew? And jumped in and assisted when we had no idea what we were doing.. but showed us how to do it.. Anyway, the project turned out great.. we now have a bigger appreciation for the talent it takes, as well as skill. Glad we could complete our first project as new homeowners.. Will definetly use his services again.
