Very bad experience! Working on repairs to a roof dormer, without prior consultation gained access via internal staircase to our loft space. Did not protect the carpet and stairs and did not even perceive the need to do so. Resulted in one of his employees transferring tar and paint to the carpet. Totally unapologetic and I am now trying to claim cleaning costs from Mr Beale. When he was terminated from the job due to his poor performance he then started to threaten with placing a lien on the house even prior to receiving the bill from him! On receiving the bill he had inflated material costs substantially. A very unsatisfactory experience and a contractor to be avoided!
