Mark Dowis Plumbing

This plumber was overpriced and installed incorrect parts for a toilet that had a low tank. Instead of fixing the issue he created, he wanted to replace the entire toilet. Ended up hiring a handyman that was able to fix the issue. Do not recommend this vendor at all.

Mark Dowis is the best plumber we’ve ever had. He genuinely cares about his customers and is a wonderful person, a capable problem solver and has 35 years of experience. He is incredibly responsive and reliable. If he can’t come out right away, he’ll try to help over the phone.

We recently remodeled our kitchen and the kitchen contractor’s so-called plumber botched up the dishwasher installation and left us with leaks under the sink. Mark came to the rescue and quickly figured out what was wrong and fixed everything.

Apparently, Mark wrote the three reviews. BEWARE-be sure to get a price UPFRONT; otherwise you will be in for a very unpleasant surprise. He charged $4,887.50 to install a refrigerator, place the oven in the cabinet (not hooked up), a dishwasher, a gas cooktop, the dryer vent, two toilets and a kitchen sink with a garbage disposal and a filtered water faucet. As I had a quote for $525 to install all the appliances, he charged over $4,300 to install the kitchen sink/garbage disposal & filtered water and two toilets. Also, to get him back to finish, I had to say I was hiring another plumber to finish the work he said had time to do. I have dealt with many contractors over the years and Mark is in a class of his own.

Another “10 out of 5” stars. Mark did a superb job for us, was super-efficient and gave me free instruction on how to fix toilets and what to look for. As a former Seabee, he knows how to do anything! Friendly and very personable. Highest recommendation.

My usual plumber was not available when I noticed that my water heater was leaking, so I called my Heating and Air Conditioning man for a referral. He referred Mark and told me that Mark is the only plumber he would let into his own house. I was told that Mark was honest, reliable and always did the job the right way the first time. Perfect! Just what I needed. Mark came out 2 hours after I called him and stayed until 8:00 pm that evening. He had me pay the plumbing supply directly so that I only paid the wholesale discounted price (no mark-up), and then charged me an hourly fee to install. He ended up staying later than his original estimated time but did not charge me more for the extra time. In fact, he returned the next day to install another part and again did not charge me. Mark was fantastic! I can not recommend him highly enough. TEN STARS!!!!!!

You judge skilled workers on the completion of their work. Mark Dowis was highly recommend to us and he exceeded our expectations. Mr. Dowis did exactly what he said he was going to do. Was always on time, very well organized and was extremely clean in his work method. We were very comfortable with Mark in our home. His problem solving skills were impressive and his plumbing skills exact. Without hesitation we recommend Mark Dowis 100 percent.
