Mark Tripp is a fraud so do your homework before you use him or any other professional. Go to the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation. http://license.reg.state.ma.us/pubLic/licque.asp?color=red&Board=PL
Check A Professional License and you will clearly see that his license has expired. If you were to call the Division of Professional Licensure they would also tell you he's being investigated and there's a number of cases against him. http://www.mass.gov/ocabr/government/oca-agencies/dpl-lp/

Once the job was "completed", I received a bill (after we paid off the original amount due) for $2,500+ in "additional charges". None of this was authorized or even spoken of and we had to help the apprentice with all of the work the whole time. And when Mr. Tripp did show up, it was always at least 4-6-10 hours later then when was said. So some days could have been a no show, sometimes it was 11pm ripping things out...

Mr. Tripp installed my tankless hot water heater in late August. He was pleasant and a good talker. We even talked about him installing a washer and dryer. After a month, Mr. Tripp did not show up with an inspector to inspect his work. Also, I have been taking lukewarm showers and was not certain if this was normal. I have been calling Mr. Tripp for over two months to get him to come by and to have an inspector inspect his work. I have yet to receive a call from him and it has been three months since the installation.
